We had these in case something happened the gas but we haven’t used in ten years. Although it is pretty much brand new, when I plugged it in to check it was working, it tripped the switches in the house. This could be as simple as a fuse or perhaps more complex. This has been a gem and allowed us to discover home made ice cream. This was only £15 when we bought from Aldi 8 yrs ago, and so it doesn’t work as well as an expensive model. What do I mean? Well as with all ice cream makers you need to freeze the bowl for 24 hrs. But after that, as the motor is smaller we found the best way was to mix the ice cream for 10 mins, return to freezer for 15, repeat about 3 times. This a bit more manual than you might be expecting, and a bit more time intensive. But it works!!! Amazing ice cream, so much so we have moved onto a more fancy machine. Happy to include foolproof recipes too.
