Free: Stereo equipment (West Menlo) Gifted Sony STR-DE185 stereo receiver. Supports 4 input sources and 2 outputs (i.e. tape/video), plus 4 speakers. 4 Radio Shack Minimus-7 speakers, which don’t sound bad for bookshelf speakers. Two of them have wall-mount brackets, too. Dell Zylux subwoofer and two small auxiliary speakers. Using the headphone jack, I used to have all of these connected in a 7-speaker system that sounded pretty good for not being that expensive. Now you can too!

Free: “Ted Williams” model duck call (West Menlo) Gifted This belonged to my father-in-law, and must date back to when Ted Williams was an active ballplayer. It still works, in the sense that it makes noise. I haven’t tried to attract ducks with it, though. Imagine the fun your kids could have with this! Includes a somewhat tattered instruction sheet.

Free: Electrolux vacuum cleaner (West Menlo) Gifted This is a classic vacuum cleaner, which means it’s indestructible! I did once replace the hose, so it’s newer than the rest of the machine. Includes 54 authentic Electrolux bags.

Free: King-size bed platform with drawers (West Menlo) Expired 88” long, 77” wide, 10.5” high. Custom-built from laminated plywood. Use instead of a box spring and create storage space under the bed! It consists of two halves connected lengthwise so you can put them together for king-size or use them separately for twin beds. I can help with disassembly. Photo shows it in use; the platform is what we’re giving away (but let me know if you’d like a used king-size Tempurpedic mattress).

Free: planks for planter bed (West Menlo) Gifted Looking to build a planter bed? These heavy-duty, durable plastic planks are just what you need They are 44" x 5.5" x 1.5" and stackable. I have 58 of them in all, plus the brackets to connect them and the spikes to hold them in the ground. I also have some soaker hose that I'd be happy to throw in.

Free: Artificial Christmas tree (West Menlo) Gifted Save yourself the trouble and expense of buying a real tree every year! This is a great-looking 7.5-foot tall "tree" that you can set up and take down in under an hour. I'll include the setup instructions and storage containers we have kept it in. Picture is not this exact tree but a similar one from the same company.
