my son brought it back from a job - used and unwanted , but newish, internal door. No lock, but has knob and hinges still attached. It's 68 x 198cm ( 26 3/4" x 78"). It's stored outside, so the sooner it's collected, the better! Unmarked, save for robin droppings... Collect from Builth.

90cm wide, 200cm long. Wire is intact all round. Side door has bolt and opens / closes okay. The open end is [obviously!] in need of someone's carpentry skills, but it's fixable. It does NOT come to pieces, so you will need a trailer or a big van to collect. I don't need it any more - collect from Builth town.

This is made of thin ply, mounted on a small pallet. It's complete; the end is separate, as is the lid. The original polystyrene foam is in it. If you need something to transport / keep a possession in, this may be just the thing - a shame to break up such a useful object. Measures 32cm deep from top to bottom; 49cm wide and 97cm long. Collect from Builth.

Pear tree needing a new home. I'm re-organising the bottom of my garden, and it's where I want something else to go. Free - but YOU have to dig it up and take it away! It's a "family" tree, created by Paul Davis in Capel Isaac. I THINK the varieties are Beth, Winter Nelis and Louise Bonne De Jersey. I need it gone as soon as possible - any time in the next 7 days and (ideally) this weekend. It was planted in 2006. It's about 6ft tall; possibly a little wider. The trunk is about 4 - 4.5" wide at the base.

In particular, a stiff board Snakes & Ladders! (The one I have is too flexible and the little 'counters' fall off.) I'm trying to keep my sweet little grandson (5) away from screens. Any board games from the 1950s are likely to be suitable.

Happy New Year! flat white sheet; double, clean, old but good quality - could be well more than 50 years old; was patched along one edge. pillow; very soft, Polish goose down filling, sateen cotton cover (slight stain as photo, likely tea); 19" x 29" (48cm x 74cm). Having a major sort out; some of my mum's bedding. I need a neck pillow and have a bigger bed! Collect from Builth [but will be in Presteigne Tuesday nights].

My lovely lodger is going up to Scotland on holiday. He's off on Sunday, and intends to climb Ben Nevis. His budget is £400 for the whole holiday. I'm trying to help him - and make sure he doesn't succumb to hypothermia... He can't afford waterproof hiking boots. Does anyone have a pair that he can borrow till 15th? He's a size 9, so I assume that he'd need a size 10 boot. Similarly, he doesn't own proper hiking trousers [I've forbidden him to wear denim on that climb]. He's a 34" waist, 32" inside leg. Does anyone have some he could borrow? If yes, to either, please contact me URGENTLY!!

Some books may have two - or even three - letters focussed on. The missing letters are: G, K, L, M, O, P, Q, T, U, V, X, Y, Z. Does anyone [IDEALLY WITHIN 15 MILES OF BUILTH] have any unwanted offcuts of machined wood? I’m trying to repair / reinforce the lids of two 1940s/50s ottomans. One is already in use on my landing: the hardboard of the lid didn’t survive my grandson enthusiastically bouncing on it. I can’t strip it down, because the material matches other storage, and can’t be re-used: it has to be repaired from the inside. The other WILL be a seat as well as a toy chest, and there’s an historical crack in the lid. The landing one needs battens along the sides no more than 3⁄4” / 2cm x 1” / 2.5cm, and any pieces of batten / plank to go across the lid no more than 2cm deep, and a minimum of 12 5/8” / 32cm long. The toy chest one needs battens 1 1⁄2” / 3.3cm x 1 3⁄4” / 4.3cm, and bits of plank / battens 17 1⁄2”/ 44cm long and no more than 1 1⁄2” / 3.3cm deep. I’m trying to do this on a shoestring – and using a borrowed and rather blunt old tenon saw! ANY pieces of wood that you have which might fit the bill would be very much appreciated.

2 used zip-link single mattresses - the base is NOT available! The mattresses are 3 feet wide. They are 75" - 6' 3" - long. I bought these from a hotel, as a temporary measure, to put on American 6' 6" long bed bases [which you can see in the main photo, and which are NOT available] . They are 3" too short for the base: I've bought a pair the correct length. Crucially, both zips work perfectly. In the photo of them zipped together, the Linxbed mattress is on the right. The Linxbeds mattress is newer than the Classic one. It's a medium firm and is in good condition - there's a few scuff marks on the corners, which I think came from being in storage. The Classic mattress is older, and is a medium soft. It's been in the hotel's storage longer: there are a few marks on it from storage, and a small three cornered tear, which can be seen in the last photo. The tear could be mended, but it didn't, and doesn't, affect its use, and I've not bothered. They have been used, but there are no "use" stains on them. I had a new mattress topper on them: friends who've slept on them slept really well: no-one complained! ( To zip them up, by the way, you need two people. Experienced friends helped me: they made a sort of V tent shape, and fastened the lower zip up first, let them fall flat, and did the top zip; quite an art! ) They're (obviously!) two single mattresses when unzipped - which they now are. This makes transportation possible in a larger car or van. They are on the ground floor of my house and near the front door - easy level access. If you have single beds that can be joined, here's your queen sized bed! I NEED THESE GONE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE - HOUSE FULL OF PEOPLE ON WEDNESDAY AND MORE ON FRIDAY!
