I haven't used this in two years at least. The starting knob had fallen off, but we were still able to turn it on and off with the stump that was left under the knob. Thete is a gas canister in it too. Don't know if it still working, it's been outdide for two years in all weathers.

This is a few years old, it has been under this cover for years, but has rust on it nonetheless, probably left out a few times in rain. I'm sure it works just fine, I just hate cleaning bbqs and stopped using it.
