Victorian writing bureau / desk (CO7 Wivenhoe)
This traditional Victorian bureau has been in my family for at least 70 years, belonging to my grandparents who had it a long time before I was born. It originally came from a furniture and department store which had a great reputation for fine, high craftsmanship pieces. It needs a new home now. It is polished dark wood, (possibly oak or mahogany). It is solidly built and therefore quite heavy. There are three good size drawers and a selection of pigeon holes and little drawers at the top which is accessed by a traditional drop down flap with writing surface. One of the legs is wobbly, it has been like that as far as I can remember, but this does not affect the bureau and it can be easily stuck or screwed firmly in place if wanted. The bureau/desk has one or two small knocks and bumps as might be expected from its age and having been used regularly for many years. Measurements: approximately 31”wide x 16”deep x 41 “high

Nicely made, very solid welly boot stand. Heavy concrete base which won’t tip over, 4 hollow plastic tubes to allow air to circulate and rubber stoppers at base corners to protect surfaces. This is a very handy thing to have by your back door for when it eventually rains!

Solid, strong wall cabinet - really useful storage in kitchen, garage, shed, workroom etc Here is a double wooden wall cabinet - originally painted green, now cream, which has 2 shelves I have used them as open shelving in my kitchen - having removed the glazed doors. (they can be reattached if required, screws provided) It is sturdily made, so is heavy! Measurement: 100cm long x 72cm high x 28cm deep

Here are three individual rigid plastic storage shelves which have been used in a garden shed to store tools, wood, sand etc for several years. Measurements approx 36” wide x 18” deep x 55” high They are very sturdy and strong, and come to pieces for easy transportation. As you can see, they are dusty through long-term shed use, and I’ll try and hose them down - if time allows! You would be welcome to one, two, or all three ….. they all need rehoming!

Measurements approx 45” long x 18” wide x 22” high All three have lids, although would probably benefit from having a brick or similar weight on top to stop them blowing away. They are reasonably watertight although not 100% guaranteed, and have been stored raised up off the ground on slatted bases to allow for air circulation. You would be welcome to one, two, or all three ….. they all need rehoming! Suitable transport will be required.

I have a black plastic bin with a lid that has been in the garden which I have used to store odd bits of kindling, but don’t need any more. It’s a bit dusty but is certainly in good condition otherwise. I’ve got another one with a locking lid which you would be welcome to have as well - or choose between them! Very useful storage, if not use for rubbish with black bag liner.
