Request: Wooden bowling balls (Whitley) Received I know this is a long shot but I am looking for 6 wooden bowling balls from which to make some dead eyes (see picture) which are needed for the rigging of a historic Victorian sailing vessel that is currently being rebuilt by a friend. The balls need to be made of lignum vitae and be over 5” in diameter. If you gave some of these lurking in your attic, I’d be very grateful to have them.

Request: Bowling balls (Whitley SN12) Withdrawn A long shot, this, but I’m looking for some old wooden Bowling balls. It doesn’t matter how scruffy, they only need to be full size (about 5.5” diameter). I need 6 to make into dead eyes (see photo) to rig a Victorian sailing vessel that a friend is restoring. If anyone has some knocking about, I’d be very grateful for them.

Free: Sony VHS player. (Whitley SN12) Expired For repair. It seems to chew tapes but I’m sure it could be made to work with a clean or repair. Otherwise, it’s off to the tip.

Free: Canon G2 digital camera (Whitley SN12) Gifted This was my father-in-law’s. It looks to be in excellent condition. I haven’t tried charging it or anything. I have no cables for it and there is no memory card (it needs a compact flash card).

Free: Two electric patio heaters (Whitley SN12) Gifted These were bought during lockdown and were great when we were only allowed to meet outside. Now a bit dusty and some rust on the back of one of them. Can someone else make use of them?

Free: IKEA Besta (Whitley SN12) Expired IKEA Besta unit with two shelves. Some of the laminate has come away in front and it needs two more shelf supports. Otherwise, still in good useable condition.

Free: Raleigh bicycle (Whitley SN12) Expired Raleigh pioneer classic gents bicycle in working order with 50cm frame. 12 gears. Newish tyres and tubes. Some rust on the rims and saddle post, but this doesn’t affect its use. If no one takes it, it will go to the tip.

Free: Brother HL-112 laser printer (Whitley) Expired Black and white laser printer. Belonged to my mother (she now has a colour printer ). I’m not how well it works and is quite scruffy

Free: Black and Decker sander (Whitley SN12) Gifted Black a Decker random orbit sander. Needs a new pad but otherwise working fine
