RepairProject Singer Sewing Machine (Parkside near Dunkin' Donuts)
Machine in good condition, with only one known problem. Has worked well for years. I discovered the issue after not using the machine for many months. This is a Singer 413 made in Scotland circa '71-'78. It was a cabinet mount but that's not available to gift. The machine, bobbins for it, numerous accessories including its original instruction book will all be provided. The problem is that the shaft that drives the machine's lower operations (bobbin/related) is without its gear. Machines of this vintage used plastic gears that have been subject to poor aging, and in the case of this machine, that particular gear is altogether out of commission. It's not that expensive or complicated of a fix - I'm just not going to take it on. Here is the part in question - other sources for it are of course available: And here's how to perform the fix: It's a solid machine, and the other gears look to be in great shape. It took me a while to find out what was going on, and I examined the machine in fairly close detail. Things are in surprisingly good shape for its age. This can be a front porch pickup once arrangements are set.

I'm moving my home phone number to a provider that does not issue equipment and will need to configure a voip adapter (analog telephone adapter) that accepts input from an ethernet CAT5 cable and puts out a signal to a standard home telephone wiring RJ11. I'd be very happy to take one off of your hands and put it to use.

Gas dryer working / for scrap (Parkside near Dunkin' Donuts)

~20 year old gas dryer - still works fine - ideally would need door switch [senses when door is open] changed out (this part costs about $6) for best operation but has been used without this for about a year no problem. Dryer is now replaced. I just want this one out of the house to someone who can use it or would like the scrap metal value for it. this is the dryer for info/dimensions
