Free: Project electric monkey bike (Leicester LE2 Aylestone) Gifted Hi all, A challenge for anyone who’s capable of working through this. It’s a complete battery powered /electric monkey-bike. I can’t tell you anything about it other than it looks to be mechanically complete, apart from a saddle. The electrics will need a complete overhaul and at the very least a new battery, charger, control unit. I can’t even tell you about the motor but again that probably needs to be replaced. If you can get it working then it looks like a fun machine. I will remove the existing battery before gifting and dispose of it responsibly. There is no charger. If you ask for this then please confirm that you are qualified to work with this type of electrically powered machine. Safety first! If there are no replies then it’s tip-bound. Free: One Security Light (Leicester LE2 Aylestone) Expired Hi all, Security floodlight. We’ve upgraded to LED as these use an odd halogen bulb. There are two lamps that can be directed independently. At the moment there are no bulbs so I cannot test it but I believe it does work. The design is for the light to detect motion and come on. If there is further movement then the light gets brighter. Search me how that works. Collection only from near the cricket ground.

Free: Sting of light bulbs (Leicester LE2 Aylestone) Gifted Everybody loves a string of lights, and why not? These are as new, for inside use only, and like all electrical items they should be tested and installed by a competent person / electrician. The integral plug has an inbuilt timer to switch them on and off for a preset period of time. You can see their effect in the photo. Note: These cannot be used outside. They are the type that have an integral (pass through) 240v socket so that the extender doesn’t take up a 13a socket. May be marked on the back as 1GByte capacity and v2. Some electrical fittings to gift. 4x13A switched socket outlets 1x13A fused spur with neon 1x twin light switch All OK condition that have just been changed to suit decor. Note that they are in the boxes from the new fittings so do not go by what they say on the box. Please say when you can collect. As always, electrical sockets and switches must be fitted by a competent electrician as 240v electricity can kill.

Free: 240/12v Transformers (Leicester LE2 Aylestone) Gifted Hi all, I’m gradually swapping out low voltage lights for mains powered ones and have the first 6 transformers that have been made spare. They were working OK when removed from above the ceiling last week. Like all electrical items you should have them checked before reinstalling them and have them fitted by a qualified person. Request: Broadband router (Leicester LE2 Aylestone) Expired Hi All, I’m trying to set up a 2nd wireless access point that can be loaded permanently with a VPN to try out US Netflix (they seem to have better series!). Does anyone have a spare/ redundant one that might fit the bill please? The more recent the better - maybe 2.4Ghz / 5Ghz choice. I’ve tried a linksys 320 but the management software wouldn’t work on Windows 11. Vodaphone 3000 is also too locked down for a VPN set-up. My broadband is BT fibre 1 with a series 5 router and I intend to use a spare LAN port for interconnection or maybe a Wi-Fi channel. Plain advice on connection method welcome. Thanks for reading.

Free: Branch loppers (Leicester LE2 Aylestone) Gifted Hi all, I managed to break one handle on these trying to cut a tough branch but they are a good make and can probably be repaired. Approximately 2200mm wide including bendy bits on the end. It has an extension piece which takes it up to 3000mm. There is also a fourth bracket still in its packaging. Free: Pillar Drill for spares or repair (Leicester LE2 Aylestone) Gifted Hi All, Clarke Metalwork Pillar Drill was working OK then created a smoke cloud and now blows fuse when plugged in. Its most likely the motor that's kaput. You're welcome to give it a try if you have the know-how to fix it. Not something to mess about with though if you are not competent. Electricity can kill if not treated with respect and all safety precautions observed. Needs to be collected quickly as its bound for the scrappers. Very heavy. Thank you for reading.
