Free: Extension cord, damaged (Rockville) Gifted This is a 100-foot extension cord. The sheathing on one end is coming off, and the green ground wire is protruding in such a way that it's no longer easy to tape over with electrical tape. However, if you're handy with electrical work, you can cut off the plug and buy and connect a new one. I'm not sure how old the cord is, but I've had it for quite some years now, and other than the wiring issue, it has been working.

Free: bubly peach/pineapple/mango (Rockville) Gifted 4 cans of bubly "bellini bliss" peach/pineapple/mango flavor sparkling water. Non-alcoholic. Not past the best-by date. I tried one but didn't care for it.

Free: Hearing protector earmuffs (Rockville) Expired They're fairly old and pretty basic earmuffs. They do not play music and they don't have a microphone attached. Sometimes one of the earpieces will come off, but it's easy to put it back on. Edit: I forgot to mention that the headband is adjustable in size.

Request: Oven mitts (Rockville) Expired I'm looking for a pair of oven mitts in good condition, ones that will cover the whole hand.

Free: Wireless keyboard (Rockville) Expired It works. It takes 2 AAA batteries, which are not included, and it only works if they are inserted in the correct direction. The matching USB plug is included. There used to be a paired mouse that went with it, but it is long gone. The only other issue is that the battery cover piece on the back is missing.

Free: Compost (Rockville) Expired I have 3 cubic feet of compost. It's a mixture of new and old material, comprised of fruit and vegetable matter, grass clippings, and egg shells. There are probably some earthworms down at the bottom layer. The bin is located in my back yard, and it's uphill to get it up to the front. Unfortunately, I don't have a wheelbarrow, so you might want to bring your own, along with your container, but you can borrow my pitchfork and shovel. Take some or all of it.

Free: Tennis racket (Rockville) Gifted It's well used but still usable. It has been a long time since the strings were redone.

Free: Laptop battery (Rockville) Gifted This is a replacement battery that I got a couple years ago for an older Dell laptop. The battery works fine, but the laptop has seen better days. Other than my old Dell laptop, I don't know which laptop models this will fit.

Free: Twin bed frame (Rockville) Expired This is an old IKEA bed frame, made from solid wood pieces. It can be disassembled for easier transport. The longest piece is still 6 feet, 4 inches. It could use some cleaning and/or re-painting. The slats are loose but fit inside the frame. An IKEA hex wrench is included.

Free: Wrigley Field book of stories (Rockville) Gifted This is a paperback book of 100 Wrigley Field short stories by 100 authors. Good condition.

Free: Softball (Rockville) Gifted It's not new but I'm not sure that it's ever been used. It's about 4 inches in diameter. And it's not very soft!

Free: First Baseman's Glove (Rockville) Gifted It's pretty old but might be usable, though I'm not entirely sure that it was broken in properly. I think it's probably about the right size for a teen or tween. It's for a right-handed thrower, which used to be less common for a first baseman, but apparently is more common these days.

Free: Soft briefcase (Rockville) Expired One of the two handles is broken, but maybe someone who is handy could repair it. There are hooks on both ends of the bag where you could attach a shoulder strap. I think it used to have one that came with it, but I can't find it. The two zippered sections work fine. Despite the pictures, the color is more of a Forest Green, though there is a lot of discoloration, too.

Free: Honda key fob (Rockville) Expired It hasn't been used in years, and I don't have the car anymore. But I think if you collect enough of these, they can be worth something in recycling value. Maybe?

Free: 2 Verizon FiOS remotes (Rockville) Expired They seem to work, but they're not compatible with my Verizon box. Apparently not all remotes are interchangeable. Take one or both. Each one needs 2 AA batteries.
