May work with batteries but the battery cover is clamped shut so it will need someone with DIY skills to break it open. As is. For parts. Free: HP Photosmart 5510 Printer - faulty for parts plus ink (Putney SW15) Gifted HP Photosmart 5510 All In One Wireless Printer with faulty motor. It emits a clicking sound when trying to print.
