Well rotted horse manure for gardens (Tebay CA10)
Based on a fine sawdust bedding, well rotted, 2 years old, dark and peaty, excellent for improving soil fertility. Freeglers have been doing a lot of digging here as you can see, and we'll be dressing our own veg garden with it very soon, but we still have quite a chunk available - and the spring weather has been very helpful in drying out the stack so it won't be too heavy to bag and take away. Located at Greenholme, behind M6 Tebay northbound services. (I can send you detailed directions, address & phone number when you enquire.)

Request:
projection SCREEN or frame (Tebay CA10)
Received
I'm doing a talk to a WI on 3rd April 2025. At short notice I find I need a portable SCREEN that I can project images onto. I do have my own projector but this time I need a screen urgently. I've done these talks for years with my laptop, usually in halls that have a digital projector and screen installed, but this time I've been told the venue doesn't have either! Even a damaged screen or a frame to support one would be helpful! - white - flat - lightweight - free-standing Does anyone have such a thing, even a damaged one, perhaps left over from a career in WI speaking?

Son brought us this from a friend’s rationalisation of kitchen needs. White lid, round glass bowl. Internal stands. Works, but I don’t need it either!

Small electric countertop oven (Tebay CA10)

Son keeps giving us kitchen equipment he has been given, but really we don’t need yet another oven! It’s SMALL. None of my small tins or dishes fit in it. So I haven’t used it. The timer shows it runs for 15 minutes.

Indoor pot plants, Amaryllis bulbs (scarlet flower) (Tebay CA10)
Expired
I've been growing this Amaryllis since 1979. Huge scarlet flowers, up to 4 on a stem when it's happy. However, it's been the gift that keeps on giving - and multiplying! I have split the clump today and now I have a washing-up bowl full of its offspring going spare. 15-ish (I honestly haven't counted.) Take as many as you want. NB THESE ARE A MIX OF SMALL AND MEDIUM BULBS AND NEED TO BE GROWN ON. They probably won't flower immediately.

well rotted horse manure, Greenholme near Tebay (Tebay CA10)

The over-year end of our heap of horse manure is brown, peaty, crumbly and ready to enrich your garden soil. We used to keep up with it ourselves, but now I have 2 big ponies it's much more than we need even for our large kitchen garden. Please come and avail yourself of it on any dry day (I suppose we may see one or two before we all float off into the Irish Sea) - on other days wellies are essential!

Horse manure/compost for your garden or allotment (Tebay CA10)
Expired
We use it for our own veg garden and we have already supplied several gardeners and allotmenteers, but I have two ponies now so the muckheap has been getting away from us! Come and help yourself. If we are not here when you call, then consult the photos to check the different ages of the sections of the heap. "Fresh" material is in the mound at the right hand side. It still contains visible "horse apples". Take that ONLY if you want to build a "hot bed" or add it to your own compost heap/bin. "Well rotted" stuff suitable to be dug into your veg plot for use this year, is dark, peat-like and all one consistency. It's in the centre/left section that has already been heavily dug out. After all this rain you WILL NEED WELLINGTONS, or better still wait till the weather has dried up a bit. Greenholme near Tebay
