This twin tube 2 foot fluorescent light is supposed to work from the mains or its own internal battery, but it only works on the mains now. I think the battery has been left discharged for too many years, and is dead.

16 Amp caravan or boat mains extension lead approx 25 metres. Outer sheath has a nick in it (taped up) but the internal cores are untouched, it's about 7 metres from one end, so lead could be shortened, if it worries you.
