Request: school (Thorton FY5) Thornton Primary School are collecting. Dear Parents and Carers, In our Early Years classroom, we are continually creating opportunities for the children to explore, investigate, and use real-life objects in their play and learning. To help us enrich our environment, we would love your support in collecting some real resources from home. We are particularly looking for:  Old pots, pans, baking trays, and cake tins (metal or silicone)  Wooden or metal utensils  Small jugs, bowls, or kitchen containers  Any safe household items that could inspire imaginative play (e.g., keys, fabric pieces, baskets, old telephones)  Accessories- Hats, scarves, bags and costume jewellery  Board games, card games, or puzzles that your family no longer uses These authentic items help children to develop problem-solving skills, and engage in creative, meaningful play. In addition:  Baby dolls and accessories  Small world toys (people, animals, vehicles, etc.)  Balance bikes /helmets If you have any suitable items you’re happy to donate, please bring them directly to Hazel Class (EYFS) at pick-up or drop-off time or via the school office. We’ll make sure everything is cleaned and checked for safety before use. Thank you so much for your continued support and for helping us make our learning environment even more engaging and inspiring.
