Free: Birds of Paradise plant in pot - two (Scotlandwell KY13) I planted these as seedlings about 8-10 years ago and they are now outgrowing the back porch but they have never flowered. I think they need a warmer, more humid atmosphere such as a conservatory or heated greenhouse. So if anyone would like to take either or both, and hopefully help them to thrive, and flower, please get in touch. If I get more than one response, they will go to the first two people. The plant on the left of the picture is about 1.3 m tall (4 ft 3 ins) and on the right about 1.2 m (4 ft). Please collect from Scotlandwell, nr Kinross, by prior arrangement (might be able to deliver locally)

Free: Vango backpack / travel case with harness and harness cover (Scotlandwell KY13) Gifted This is a very good quality backpack, as you would expect from Vango. It has a main compartment, and a smaller compartment below (for dirty shoes etc). It has a full high-quality harness that can be covered over with the built-in cover, which stows away neatly at the base of the backpack when not in use. It does have provision to zip in a much smaller day-bag, but that is no longer around, so not included. Dimensions approx 65x30x15 cm (25x12x6 ins) so about 30 litres capacity. Collection by arrangement from Scotlandwell (about 6 mls east of Glenrothes). Might be able to deliver surrounding area, if you're not in a hurry, depending on my movements!

Free: Hill-walker's winter survival bag (West End EH12) Gifted Never used, thick tough plastic, branded BCB / Trail magazine, approx 180 x 75 cm (71 x 30 ins). Folds down to about 28 x 25 cm and weighs just 220 g (8 oz), so easy to stash in a rucksack and could be a life-saver if stranded in cold weather overnight. Collect by prior arrangement near Haymarket, or possible delivery on or near my route into/out of the city, that is via Barnton junction, Queeensferry Road, Palmerston place.

Free: Pack of 18 toilet rolls (West End EH12) Gifted New condition, unopened pack of 18 'Hush' brand triple-layer scented bathroom tissue, surplus to requirements. Two packs available, limited to one pack per freegler, not going to split the packs! Collect by prior arrangement near Haymarket, or possible delivery on or near my route into/out of the city, that is via Barnton junction, Queeensferry Road, Palmerston place. Alternately I will be in the Corstorphine area on Tuesday afternoon only.

Free: Wedge cushion to reduce lower back pain (West End EH12) Gifted This is a 'coccyx wedge cushion' by 66fit, intended to do two things: the wedge shape lifts your hips relative to your knees to reduce strain on your lower back, and the horseshoe shaped cutout at the back takes weight of your coccyx (base of the spine). Works well on both chairs and car seats. Had some use but in good condition, foam remains firm, no tears in the fabric, cover is zipped so removable for cleaning. Dimensions are 37cm x 37cm x 4cm/8cm (front/back). Two available, so if more than one person wants this, it will be one each! Collection by prior arrangement near Haymarket, from Wednesday evening onwards. Free: Spice rack with ten empty glass bottles (West End EH12) Gifted Wood and metal spice rack with ten bottles, of three different styles. All bottles cleaned inside and out, old labels removed, a bit of indelible writing on one lid. Collection by prior arrangement near Haymarket, from Wednesday evening onwards. Free: Classic 'Antler' brand two-wheeled suitcase (West End EH12) Gifted In very good condition, 80s or 90s style, with a pair of wheels on one lower corner, and a pull-handle on the opposite upper corner. Material is tough canvas on a light metal frame, with leather straps and trims. Unlike modern wheelie cases where the wheels are across the wides part of the base, these are quite close together. You can see the arrangement best in the picture of the inside. The inside dimensions are approx 28 x 18 x 7 inches (70 x 45 x 18 cm) and outside approx 29 x 19 x 8.5 ins (74 x 48 x 22 cm) and it weighs 3.4 kg (7.5 lbs). Available to pick up near Haymarket, by prior arrangement. Or I might be able to deliver (again by prior arrangement) to anywhere on or near my route into & out of Edinburgh, so from the Forth Bridges, via Barnton Junction and Queensferry Road to Haymarket.

Free: Staywell magnetically-operated cat flap (West End EH12) Expired Cat flap in good working order, now superseded so looking for a new home. It is operated by a small magnet that attaches to your cat's collar, and several magnets are included, so you can equip several cats to use the cat-flap, or just have a stock for one cat (they do go through them if they are good at losing their collars, as most cats are). It does NOT need a battery. It can be locked to stop cats coming in, or going out, or both. It will keep out any cat that doesn't have the right magnet. Includes all the fittings and suitable for any door (wooden or composite) up to 2 inches thick. Unlikely to work for a metal or glass door (such glass should be toughened, and difficult to cut a hole). Available to pick up near Haymarket, and I can leave it just inside the outer front door if I know when you will call. Free: Halfords 10w/40 diesel engine oil 2.5+ litre, part synthetic (West End EH12) Gifted This is a 5-litre container, over half full of as-new 10W/40 part synthetic diesel engine oil. Was used in our old Peugeot Boxer van, but no longer have a diesel engine. Will be suitable for a wide range of diesel engines, but probably not recent models as they seem to require very precise formulations now. Available to pick up near Haymarket, and I can leave it just inside the outer front door if I know when you will call. Or I might be able to deliver (by prior arrangement) to anywhere on or near my route into & out of Edinburgh, so from the Forth Bridges, via Barnton Junction and Queensferry Road to Haymarket.
