Request: Pond plants particularly taller Iris types (Flintshire CH1) Expired Hi. We're building a pond with some good sized boggy areas to the sides that we need to get planted out. If anyone is thinning out or clearing any marginal/bog/marsh plants then I'd be happy to give them a new home. I'm particularly looking for clumps of taller Iris type plants to build a marshy area. Happy to take directly out of your pond if you don't want to get wet!!

Free: Miscanthus root balls (Flintshire CH1) Expired We've just removed a 3 foot diameter miscanthus root ball cut up into about half a dozen rhizome lumps. This is a tall grass like plant that grows to around 8 feet. It's a similar type of plant to pampas grass. I think ours is miscanthus giganteus so Google will show you some pictures.

Free: 3x2 flag stones (Flintshire CH1) Expired 20 3x2 flags just lifted but need the bedding mortar chiselling off them. I have a lump hammer and bolster chisel you can borrow to clean them off in our yard. Collection from Sealand road

Free: Bevelled glass panes (Flintshire CH1) Expired 15 bevelled glass panes removed from a pair of French doors. Size is 193 x 315mm and 6mm thick round the edge thickening to 7mm in the centre. I've cleaned the bulk of the putty/mastic off them but there's still some residue mainly where the glass sits in the rebate. Collection from Sealand road

Free: Used 9 " hollow concrete blocks (Flintshire CH1) Gifted I've got maybe 50 or so used blocks most with bits of mortar or render on them. In the past I've used these half buried in the ground for shed supports and they'll carry quite a weight and anchor things to the ground when buried. Could be used for raised planters, soil retaining wall etc. Collection from Sealand Road but if you want an 8x4 trailer full I might be able to deliver local to me
