Free: Wool Liners (Poets MK40) 6 of these 'Woolcool' liners. 100% wool from insulated food delivery packages. The company which makes these suggests re-use as insulation or padding or for things such as lining hanging baskets or even for composting which is how I use them. They also suggest it could be useful for people doing craftwork. Now have more than I can use. Can anyone make use of these six liners or of some of them? 5 of the liners are still in their original see through plastic packaging (which can be recycled alongside carrier bags etc) but please be aware that the packaging always has some rips. Free: Shoes size 42 (8) (Poets MK40) Gifted Tried on a couple of times but otherwise unworn. Oobend brand shoes size 42 (UK 8). Very flexible sole, Shoe has wide toe box. Advertised as a unisex barefoot shoe. More of a darkish sage green upper than appears in the photos. Upper is a stretchy knitted cotton fabric. Reason for offer: ordered wrong size and didn't realise in time to return. Too short for me but feel as though they'd be very comfy if they fitted. Would anyone like to try them? Free: Plastic Free Laundry Slips (Poets MK40) Gifted Plastic free laundry slips by Serious Tissues. You just put one small slip in with each wash or two for heavy soiling and it dissolves during the wash cleaning your clothes/fabrics and leaving no residue. 50 slips originally in the pack of which I've used at the most three. They are described as plastic free, non-bio, zero waste, plant based, carbon neutral. Unfortunately when I ordered them I assumed they were fragrance free but they do actually have a fragrance called 'Fresh Linen'. The fragrance is not too overwhelming but I am unfortunately allergic to such fragrances which make me sneeze. Can anyone else make use of them? Free: Dry Cat Food (Poets MK40) Gifted Iams 2kg for cats aged 1+ years with sensitive digestions. Standard size of kibble. It says 'easily digestible, 88% animal protein, rich in turkey'. Recently purchased, slightly open at top but re-sealed and never actually used. (Cat has been prescribed a new type of diet for medical reasons). Best Before April 2026. Scrumbles 750g Gut Friendly Cat Food. It says 'Free Run Chicken, Gluten Free Recipe, with added probiotics, natural ingredients, suitable for adult cats and seniors. Best Before June 2026. Purchased recently, has been opened and re-sealed but only a small amount used. N.B. This is a very small kibble.d Can split if only one of these suits your cats. Free: Pair size 43 Women's Sandals (Poets MK40) Gifted Size 43 which I believe is a UK Size 9 in blue and beige manmade materials. Padded footsole for comfort. Sling at back is stretchy. Worn only to try on indoors. I found that the decorative buckle dug into my foot but I have 'deep' feet. Bought online and for various reasons not able to send them back within a reasonable time frame. Would anyone like to try them? Free: Double sided mirror with light (Poets MK40) Gifted Double sided mirror - one side standard type mirror, one side magnifying mirror. Can be positioned in more than one way - see photos. Can be used as it is or by adding batteries to the battery box on the back of the base can be made into an illuminated mirror. White plastic reasonably sturdy. Free: Carbon filters for hooded cat litter trays (Poets MK40) Expired Two unopened packets of Moderna brand cut to fit universal filters "active carbon filter absorbs bad odour, cut to size to fit all litter boxes". One filter per packet but the filters are larger than suggested by the photo as each packet contains one large piece of carbon filter folded in half. Purchased from Pets at Home as spares for use in a hooded litter tray with flap door. One of my cats could not get accustomed to the door and with the door removed there wasn't much point in using a filter so these spares were never used. Free: English Breakfast Tea Bags (Poets MK40) Gifted I box 80 bags Traidcraft Fairtrade Breakfast Blend Teabags - box recently opened but no more than one or two bags have been used. Best Before November 2025. Described as a 'full bodied, smooth and refreshing tea from Kenya'. Also Waitrose Duchy Organic fairtrade 25 individually wrapped tea bags. 24 bags remaining. Free: New Christmas Cards with envelopes (Poets MK40) Gifted Do you or maybe your children like giving out cards but worried about the cost? These cards are out of their original packaging but are new and unused each with its own envelope. All are charity cards but were purchased in aid of different charities including fair trade/development agencies such as Traidcraft, help for the homeless such as Shelter and Crisis and in aid of Saving Lives at Sea from the RNLI (Lifeboats). Free: Fingerless Gloves (Poets MK40) Expired Artificial fur lined fingerless gloves. A friend who knows I'm involved in collections for the RNLI purchased these and sent them to me thinking they'd be useful for collections in the colder months. Unfortunately she's forgotten that my hands are much bigger than hers and they are too tight to be useful to me. These are brand new fingerless gloves, in fact they are still attached to each other and to the loop from which they were displayed in the shop. There is no size on them but I think they are an average size for women's gloves. Collect from the Poets area of Bedford - this is the area around Shakespeare Road. Free: Fur removing toy for cats (Poets MK40) Gifted Kong brand. The wider base at the back of the plastic cat slides under a door or similar so that it is held in an upright position. The front has a brush type texture, the idea being that cats like to rub/scratch their heads and bodies against this which is enjoyable for them and surplus fur from their coats is collected on the 'brush'. In the base of the front of the toy is a lift up compartment where catnip can be stored to attract cats to the toy. My cats simply never got the idea and just stared at it looking puzzled even though I left it there for many weeks. Maybe your cats are more intelligent than mine? If you'd like to give it a try it can be collected from the Poets area of Bedford - this is the area around Shakespeare Road. Free: Portable small round casual table (Poets MK40) Gifted Cream coated metal. Small round lightweight portable coffee or side type table, takes apart for easy carrying or storage. Base folds for storage. Table top just lifts off the base. Only used a few times as bought for a specific purpose which is no longer required. Free: Towel Rail (Poets MK40) Gifted 450mm chrome towel rail with fixing screws - never used. Grubby outer packet due to long storage but rail and screws are still sealed inside. Free: Outdoor cover for bicycles (Poets MK40) Gifted Never used, never taken out of carrying pouch with handle since purchase so assume that it is in perfect condition. Oxford brand 'Aquatex' outdoor cover for up to three bicycles. It says the bottom is elasticated. It is lightweight. Weatherproof design. Folds into the zip carrying pouch. Free: Jewellery Pliers (Poets MK40) Gifted Used but in good condition. These spring loaded pliers are used by earring makers and repairers to curve round and fix the hook to carry the main part of the earring. May have other uses that I'm not aware of. Free: Cat Care Items (Poets MK40) Gifted Cat tray liners: 1 unopened pack of six and one open bag with some remaining to fit trays up to 52cm x 40cm approx Trixie Shampoo for long haired cats "Eases Combing". Bottle looks unopened but a small amount might have been used. Johnson's Cat Flea Cleansing Shampoo "contains natural herbal extracts". bottle looks nearly full. "Deodorises, Beautifies, and helps cleanse fleas from the coat" Protextin veterinary Pro-Fibre 500g. Pot appears unopened. Best Before End 01/25. "A palatable probiotic pellet to encourage normal digestive function, containing soluble and insoluble fibre. Add to food once daily" Please note that this is not a cat food, it is a supplement to be added to cat food for cats with digestive problems. Will split. Free: Woolcool Packs (Poets MK40) Gifted 3 packs of Wolcool. This is natural coloured 100% pure sheeps wool encased in a loose thin plastic cover, The wool could just be slid out of the cover if wished. The bag is recyclable and the wool is compostable and biodegradable. I receive these from time to time as the insulation layer in a postal delivery of cheese from The Ethical Cheese Company. Would anyone find these useful as insulation of some sort or maybe some type of craft work or simply to compost the wool? Each pack is approx 33 inches (84cm) long by approx 16 inches (40cm) wide and half an inch (1.5cm) thick. Could be collected from a dry outside place on Wednesday or Friday this week or any day thereafter.
