Boxes, boxes (Dow’s Lake) Promised Help, please. I live with ‘this box is too good to recycle syndrome’. This is a selection of particularly sturdy boxes that deserve another use. The almost cube at the back left is ~ 8”/22cm for size comparison with the others. The five glasses boxes have pull-out drawers, with a ribbon tab. I can imagine them having craft uses. I have a wad of bubble wrap for a bonus if you would like it.

Bamboo in need of rehabilitation (Dow’s Lake) Gifted Seeking a kind home for this bamboo plant that needs re-potting or cutting of sections to root, or both. It is from good stock, but needs revival. This clump is just over two years old having started as cuttings from a twenty-plus year old plant. I have harvested some cuttings. It’s quiet and doesn’t eat much.

Cat scratching fabric (Dow’s Lake) Gifted This is fairly sturdy fuzzy fabric to attach to furniture for cats to scratch rather than the good fabric. It can also wrap around a scratching post. The full piece was 23.6 x 15.8. I cut off the ~12”/30cm section. It and the rest of the roll, tape and instructions are available. Turns out this is not my cat’s preferred texture. The cut part had a bit of catnip applied. I have cleaned it as well as possible. The close-up of the texture is in shadow. The larger picture more accurately shows the colour.

LG V20 Android Phone H990ds (Dow’s Lake) Gifted This Android version 8.0.0 LG phone is about 9 years old. Its OS is no longer updating. It would suit someone whose priority is to use it as a phone and camera, rather than for apps etc as the most current ones won’t be compatible. It can use older and ‘lite’ versions. Charging cable included.

LG 4G LTE Phone & backup charger (Dow’s Lake) Gifted This Android phone is about 11 years old, and will best suit someone who needs to use it as a phone, rather than for scrolling on apps etc, as the OS no longer updates, so it isn’t compatible with the latest bells & whistles. The camera is quite good. Included are a charging cable and a backup charger.

Live Clean liquid hand soap (Dow’s Lake) Gifted About 3/4 of a 1 litre bottle of Live Clean liquid hand soap. I couldn’t get my regular ‘flavour’ of this so tried a different scent. I think that most people would find this one mild and pleasant, but I’m sensitive to fragrance and it’s too much for me.

Summery Dinnerware Set for Four (Dow’s Lake) Gifted Fruity & floral decoration that I think may have been a knockoff of a Mikasa design from 1991. RedSea International Sonata RS 139. Some scratches on the eating surfaces consistant with age, but they have not been used for aaaages. Four each dinner plates, side/salad/bread&butter plates, rimmed soup/pasta bowls, cups & saucers.

LARGE comfy chair (Dow’s Lake) Expired My former lift recliner has ceased lifting and reclining. 😕 I tried replacing the hand control, to no avail. I think that a handy person might be able to replace the non-functional parts, but I have surrendered. When it stopped working the leg rest was slightly extended. It’s still comfortable imo, but I need the reclining function. The seat measures ~ 22” wide, ~19” deep. The height of the back is ~42”. The overall colour is teal-ish, but the fabric actually has a variety of colours in it. Please consider rescuing this chair.

Thin non-woven material (Dow’s Lake) Gifted This is similar, but a bit denser, in texture to row cover for gardening. It was the wrapping for an upholstered chair. I hope it will be useful to someone.

Rigid foam chunks & cardboard (Dow’s Lake) Expired Hoping that there might be some practical use for these bits that came in the packaging of a chair. There are two large pieces of corrugated cardboard, one is thinnish and the other is thicker and more rigid.

Bubble wrap envelopes etc (Dow’s Lake) Gifted Heartened by an earlier post, I would be glad for someone to have eight bubble wrap envelopes. Three sizes, but fairly similar. Also available a small roll of bubble wrap and some thin spongy wrap.
