Free: Swing Arm Task Lamp (castro valley) Promised LTS “Daylight” E78751 magnifying Swing Arm Task Lamp With our uncle passing away, we inherited some audio, video, computer/networking, and electronics gear that includes this LTS “Daylight” E78751 magnifying Swing Arm Task Lamp. All parts are here: the clamp/mount, the cover, the magnifier, power supply. This has two (2) issues that detract from the capabilities: - The bulb is blown out/not working, we are including it to help you find the replacement. - The connection parts between the arms and the lamp itself are plastic, and is cracked/broken. This can be fixed IMHO. Since we already have a couple of task lamps, we are looking to pass along to someone who can use this, as it does not bring us joy. Request: film/negative scanner (castro valley) I have the next project to scan all of our 35mm film into images, but it seems our old SCSI/USB 1.0 film scanner is having issues. Would someone have a scanner that works with various film negative formats that can pass it along? It would be great to see and share some of my photography from my teenage & schoolwork – along with the concerts and travels from the 90-00’s. TIA!

Free: yardsticks (castro valley) Gifted Vintage/retro Wooden Yardstick Collection - twelve (one dozen) – take one, some or all With our uncle passing away, we inherited some of his collectibles that includes these twelve (one dozen) yardsticks – take one, some or all. Nice vintage/retro feel to them, have been great in my workshop/workbench but we do not need a dozen of them. Two of them are glued together in a 90 degree configuration, which has been good for measuring fabric or other flexible materials. Free: MakerBot Replicator 2X 3D printer (castro valley) Withdrawn Delving into 3D printing, I picked up this MakerBot with some other vintage/retro hardware a couple of weeks ago. This has a dual extruder, so the ability to print two colors at once is a great capability TBH. Sadly there are some key issues that has me passing this along: - They did not have the power supply. This takes a GS220A24-R7B which has a 4 prong female end to connect to the male 4 prong on the back of the printer, 12VDC 30A. Good luck finding this, everything online is a GS220A24-R7 with the wrong connector and is crazy overpriced. There are some videos and postings online where folks updated/upgraded the power connectors and supply. So it is doable, but beyond the level of effort I currently have. - This only prints in ABS, as PLA was not wildly available when the printer was released. There are posts online were folks have been able to print PLA with some modifications. - They did not have the ABS spoolers, so something will need to be created to hold your spools of ABS as they feed into the printer. - This is an early, “experimental” printer, which is considered EoL. There is open source firmware to upgrade the printer though. - The MakerBot software for this printer is no longer supported/is EoL. Folks have been able to use OctoPrint on a Raspberry Pi to control/manage/monitor the printer. - Folks have said that the head scraping on these old dual extruder printers will make it a pain. Also all the reviews say it was an accurate printer for that time, but difficult to use and for advanced users, again at that time. YMMV. Free: Levolor 2” faux wood blinds (castro valley) Gifted What: Levolor 2” faux wood blinds 119.25” width 34.75” height Color White 120WH053 Levolor sent us a replacement of this faux wood blinds, so we are offering the original up. This set we are offering up is the initial set they sent which has a dent in the metal bracket, I would say in the middle of the span. This does not impact the functionality of the blinds, but even with the valence you knew it was there. So with our lifetime warranty, we scored a replacement and thought someone out there could use this. Note the long span/length and the height of 119.25” width 34.75” height – this is a pretty big window covering. I have added a screenshot of the specifications. You will also need a truck of some sort to pick this up – it will not fit nor would be safe to be on a car or a jeep.

Request: Shop light power cord (castro valley) Wanted: Commercial Electric 4' Linkable LED shop light 54103161 power cord Looking to have some better lighting in my workbench area. So I scored a Commercial Electric 4' Linkable LED shop light, model # 54103161 which did not come with a working power cord. Picking up what I thought would work at EFM (Electronics Flea Market) over the weekend, but it will not fit. The socket on the light is shaped slightly different so the power cord will not insert into the light. Looking at the images, there are these two slots in between the postitive & negative poles – the power cord I picked up does not have this but a thicker center ridge. Also, the cord does not have ground (even though it is three prong). If I modified the plug so that it would insert into this light, the light will not work due to the lack of ground (I assume). The light appears to be a Home Depo special, so they don’t have spare power cords. Anyone happen to have a spare power cord that would work with this light? Or perhaps a plug/link cable that I can fabricate something to work? TIA!

Free: Onkyo SKW-120 powered subwoofer (castro valley) Gifted With our uncle passing away, we inherited some audio, video, and computer/networking gear that includes this Onkyo SKW-120 powered subwoofer. I plugged it in & connected it up and it works fine – sounded pretty good in fact. Some research told me this was possibly part of some home theater in the box package, possibly the Onkyo LSV-950, HTP-120 speaker system package. Unfortunately, I have no idea where the rest of that theater setup went – it is not in the equipment we received from the estate. There is some wear and scratches in places, but nothing that would impact the operation (that I could tell). Request: LCD TV, say 20-24" (castro valley) Received Does anyone have spare LCD TV, say 20-24" size with HDMI and perhaps composite? The LG LCD in the better half's home office is flaking out, not liking the firestick in the HDMI port. Free: TP-Link AC750 WiFi Range extender (castro valley) Gifted As part of our WiFi improvement efforts, I picked up this TP-Link AC750 aka RE220 v2 WiFi Range extender since it will run the alternate firmware OpenWRT. As things happened, I ended up using different hardware as repeaters, prefer keeping the same standard of hardware rather than one oddball in my setup, and this is no longer needed. “The TP-Link RE220 v2 is a wall-pluggable range extender supported by OpenWrt from version 21.02.0 onwards. The device is based on the MediaTek MT7628AN SoC (580 MHz, 1 core) and features 8 MB flash and 64 MB RAM. Free: Ion Block Rocker bluetooth speaker (castro valley) Gifted Offering up this Ion Block Rocker portable bluetooth speaker. It works, I jacked in my iPod and have been using it when working in the yard. The sound is ok, nothing to write home about or what an audiophile would love (IMHO). It is beat up, the on/off switch is a little finicky, but the previous owner did install a new battery. I charged it up, and have yet to run the battery down yet in our limited use. This has a microphone (Mic) input as well as AUX input, a FM/AM tuner, and Bluetooth capabilities. There are handles on the sides to carry it around, along with a “tray” for setting your phone, iPod, or other device on the top of the speaker. I bet you will get more satisfaction out of this than we will, so I’m offering it up to a better home. Help me get stuff out of my garage please.

Free: Dell Ultrasharp 2009W LCD (castro valley) Gifted I have this spare older LCD that works great. The images are crisp using Windows 11 or OS X at the native 1680 x 1050 at 60hz over DVI-D as portrait or landscape mode. If you have Resolutionator on OS X you can push 1920x1200 or even 3840x2400 (but with everything that small I would not advise torturing your eyes like that). Note that I have not tested the VGA port or the USB hub ports. It is a nice little LCD, but I have enough spares – help me get stuff out of my garage please. Free: Dell SP2008WKP LCD (castro valley) Gifted Dell SP2008WKP LCD 1680x1050 native</b> I have this spare older LCD, with an internal USB webcam. The LCD works fine, using Windows 11 or OS X - was native 1680 x 1050 at 60hz over DVI-D. If you have Resolutionator on OS X you can push 1920x1200 or even 3840x2400 (but I would not advise torturing your eyes like that). If you I have not tested the VGA port, the USB hub ports, or the webcam. Note this is also landscape only, it does not have the Dell mont that you can switch between portrait & landscape without unscrewing the stand/mount. So you could use it in portrait mode, but would need to unscrew the mount and pivot the LCD manually. It is a nice little LCD, but I have enough spares – help me get stuff out of my garage please.
