Gamestop BB-032 universal dance pad (castro valley)
I picked up this Gamestop BB-032 universal dance pad from Freecycle/Trash Nothing/or some such around 2021. I have yet to do anything with this, have not tested it, and need to thin the collection. It is a little dusty from being in the garage, but overall it looks it be in decent condition (AFAIK, I am not an expert on these items). Some research tells me that this is supposed to work with Xbox, PS1, PS2 and GameCube. Note I do not know if this is complete or not, what you see is what you get. I am looking to pass along to someone who can use this, as it does not bring us joy. Help me get stuff out of our house please. Hello! For a project to distract from my unemployment/job hunting woes, I started wiring up our house like we wanted with a bit of future proofing. Unfortunately I ran out of CAT6 and CAT7 cabling and the CAT5 keystones to finish what we started. I would rather not finish the job with CAT5 (that seems stupid), and this disabled veteran would rather not have to shimmy around in the crawlspace & attic multiple times for the same drop. That being said, I am running out of CAT5 keystones being used for phone and the older devices. Yes, I know CAT7 is not a real standard but put CAT6 terminations on there and it works fine for home use. Ask me how I know… :) In case you have a couple of hundred feet to finish the 7 drops I had planned, and some keystones to terminate the lines the parts would be put to good use. TIA!

B&D FireStorm 9.6v drill with DOA battery/charger We picked up this Black & Decker FireStorm 9.6v cordless power drill at some point, unfortunately the battery is dead and the charger does not light up when plugged in or when the battery is inserted. Now there is a chance the charger will work when charging a working battery, I am not sure. Perhaps you have the cycles to fix, or have the battery & chargers for this? You get the drill, case, charger, and the battery – what you see in the pictures is what you will get. We are looking to pass along to someone who can use this, as it does not bring us joy. Hello! For a project to distract from my unemployment/job hunting woes, I started wiring up our house like we wanted. Unfortunately there are some holes in our sheetrock now due to materials inside the wall & other issues that prevented us from running the cabling in that area. The better half would like us to patch, sand, & pant back to what the wall was before. I grabbed our joint compound but it was that old and beyond usable – grey & solid. In case you have a couple of pieces of sheetrock and some spare joint compound it would be put to good use. TIA!

HP Color LaserJet 5550dtn with duplex, drive, stand, etc I picked up this 5550dtn for the purpose of printing my photography on large format paper. This can handle 11”x17” paper in the trays. It has the duplex unit, the JetDirect network card, hard drive storage attachment, the stand with wheels & additional paper tray. I hate to let this go, but it does need a new image transfer kit (can be found online for $160-250 on eBay, with new old stock (NOS) from resellers even more expensive). This also a beast, very heavy and large in size. It fits well in our garage, but I have to thin the collection of projects. Someone asked about the crossword puzzle "ghosting" on the printer diagnostic & information pages: you are seeing the reverse of the sheet in that scan, I'm reusing the back side of scrap paper for the printer tests. Delving into 3D printing, I picked up this MakerBot with some other vintage/retro hardware a couple of weeks ago. This has a dual extruder, so the ability to print two colors at once is a great capability TBH. Sadly there are some key issues that has me passing this along: - They did not have the power supply. This takes a GS220A24-R7B which has a 4 prong female end to connect to the male 4 prong on the back of the printer, 12VDC 30A. Good luck finding this, everything online is a GS220A24-R7 with the wrong connector and is crazy overpriced. There are some videos and postings online where folks updated/upgraded the power connectors and supply. So it is doable, but beyond the level of effort I currently have. - This only prints in ABS, as PLA was not wildly available when the printer was released. There are posts online were folks have been able to print PLA with some modifications. - They did not have the ABS spoolers, so something will need to be created to hold your spools of ABS as they feed into the printer. - This is an early, “experimental” printer, which is considered EoL. There is open source firmware to upgrade the printer though. - The MakerBot software for this printer is no longer supported/is EoL. Folks have been able to use OctoPrint on a Raspberry Pi to control/manage/monitor the printer. - Folks have said that the head scraping on these old dual extruder printers will make it a pain. Also all the reviews say it was an accurate printer for that time, but difficult to use and for advanced users, again at that time. YMMV.
