Modern File Cabinet/Dresser (S Ann Arbor)
Free: This is an all-wood file cabinet from a business that closed up shop on the edge of Ann Arbor a few years ago. I had planned on storing research material in it, but do not need to any more. Taking out the front edge railing (a few minutes' non-destructive work with a Phillips-head screw driver) would convert it to a nice dresser, if you like blonde wood. The cabinet is entirely intact with ball-bearing drawer slides on all four drawers. IT IS VERY HEAVY and we cannot provide help moving it. Measurements are 36" wide by 20" deep by 54.5" tall. We do not have the key, but it is not locked. It is VERY solidly built and entirely intact. NOTE: It may require bolting to the wall to avoid tipping over depending on how you intend to load it/use it. The labels on the front and the duct tape that holds the drawers closed come off easily. At worst, Goo-Gone (or similar) should remove all traces. A heavy-duty dolly, a pickup truck or van and two strong people are necessary to move it. We have none of these available, so do not say you'll take if you can't provide all of it. We'll wait until Sunday, August 2 before choosing a recipient.

Kitchen Cart and Granite Top (NE Ann Arbor)

We are offering a kitchen cart and a granite top for it. Neither piece has been out of the box since we bought them from Home Depot for a kitchen remodeling project for a previous home a couple years ago. These pieces are unassembled, roughly Ikea-style. The granite top surface is in a box 6" thick x 23" wide x 49" long. The body of the rest of the cart is in a box 14" thick x 20" wide x 49" long. This is a pickup-only deal. We cannot offer delivery or assembly. Both boxes will be given away together. Plan on bringing one or two people who can move a 90-pound box from the floor into something that will carry both boxes. For comparison, we have carried them together in the back of a Ford Escape with its back seats folded down, and in the bed of a Ford Maverick pickup truck.
