Free: Four-slot toaster (only two slots working) (West Croydon CR0) DeLonghi brand four-slot toaster. Two of the slots are working fine but the other two only work if you hold the lever down. There’s something stopping the lever for those two slots going down properly, but I couldn’t figure out what it was — maybe you’ll be able to! It feels mechanical rather than electrical, i.e. I think something’s stuck somewhere. I was using it just as a two-slot until a couple of weeks ago, but now I have a new toaster with four working slots, so maybe someone else can make use of this one. The yarn is colour-varying in two shades of pink and blue, and it has a bouclé texture. Some of it has been knitted up, but you can easily undo it again. Free: 4 metres of striped fabric with woven-in designs (West Croydon CR0) Gifted Uncut piece of fabric, as new, 150cm wide and about 4 metres long. I don’t know the fibre composition, and I don’t know what it was originally bought for, but it might make a nice throw or a lightweight coat. The patterns are woven in, not printed or embroidered. Free: TV mount (West Croydon CR0) Gifted The only thing I know about this item is that you can mount a flat-screen TV on it. Hopefully the photos are informative. I don’t know what brand it is, how old it is, how to use it, or whether there are any bits missing, but I think it’s complete in itself because there was a TV on it until a few weeks ago. Free: Otedama pincushion/ornament/toy (West Croydon CR0) Gifted Hand-embroidered, hand-sewn "otedama" style pincushion — could be used as a pincushion or an ornament, or even a kid’s toy. The base fabric is non-cotton (maybe polyester?) Aida and it’s embroidered with purple cotton thread. About 5cm in diameter. I made this as an exercise while working through a maths/sashiko book (“A Stitch In Line” by Katherine Seaton, highly recommended) and have enjoyed having it sitting on my mantelpiece for the past several months, but it’s time for a new mantelpiece display and I’d rather give this to someone else than just chuck it out. Free: Large-size (7X and 6X) men’s shirts (some damage) (West Croydon CR0) Gifted Four men’s shirts in large sizes: three 7X and one 6X. Good quality (I think 100% cotton) but have been worn and washed many times so have signs of wear plus some damage, and one has mismatched buttons. All of the damage is repairable by a competent sewist (I’d do it myself but the wearer no longer wants these shirts so it’s not worth it for me) or you could ask a dry-cleaner or tailor to mend them. Or you could use them for wearing when doing housework etc when you don’t want to risk getting your good shirts dirty. PLEASE NOTE: As a priority I'd like these to go to someone who will actually wear them. At this stage I’d prefer not to hear from people who just want to cut the shirts up to use the fabric. Large-size men’s shirts are not often found in charity shops or clothing giveaways, so please, for now, leave them for someone who wants them as-is. Free: Gingham polycotton fabric (West Croydon CR0) Gifted Two shades of gingham polycotton fabric (65% polyester, 35% cotton, 112.5 cm wide) bought from minerva.com. The unused fabric is half a metre of the darker purple, and just under a metre of the lighter purple. There’s also some cut-out pieces in the lighter purple that can be re-used (though some are marked with Sharpie, and you’d have to cut around that).
