Free: Knitted square in interesting yarn (West Croydon CR0) Expired I think this was knitted as a sample or experiment. You could use it as-is, or you could unravel it and use the yarn for something else. It’s a relatively bulky variegated yarn with an interesting construction — a thin outer yarn wrapped around a loosely-spun interior. I don’t know the fibre content. Free: Embroidered kimono-style dressing gown (West Croydon CR0) Expired Lightweight polyester dressing gown, black with red lining, embroidered with flower pattern. Bought from BHS a long time ago. Labelled as size 16–18 but it’s loose so would fit larger or smaller people too. It's kimono-style, so the underarms are intentionally open, but the side seams have ripped open a bit more. Free: Otedama pincushion/ornament/toy (West Croydon CR0) Gifted Hand-embroidered, hand-sewn "otedama" style pincushion — could be used as a pincushion or an ornament, or even a kid’s toy. The base fabric is non-cotton (maybe polyester?) Aida and it’s embroidered with purple cotton thread. About 5cm in diameter. I made this as an exercise while working through a maths/sashiko book (“A Stitch In Line” by Katherine Seaton, highly recommended) and have enjoyed having it sitting on my mantelpiece for the past several months, but it’s time for a new mantelpiece display and I’d rather give this to someone else than just chuck it out.
