The counterbalance lift mechanism, hand brake, and tension cables all work smoothly. Because this is a commercial-grade mechanical frame, it is incredibly sturdy. I have been using it outside as a workstation with dual monitors and as an adjustable height tool station/workbench for my miter saw, router, and other heavy power tools. It handles the weight and vibration flawlessly. Please read condition details before responding: Includes temporary/degraded top: The wood desktop currently attached is weathered and needs to be replaced. However, it has been left on to keep the heavy lifting columns stable and easy to transport, and it will serve as a perfect template for tracing and drilling your new workbench top. Feet bolts: It has been used outdoors. Three of the heavy-duty 3/8" leveling foot bolts are frozen from rust, and one has sheared off flush in the hole. You will need to drill/extract the broken bolt to spin in new 3/8" feet (wooden blocks are currently tied on to keep it level). Vehicle space needed: This is heavy, high-quality steel (the frame alone weighs around 85 lbs). Because the legs stand 31" tall even at the lowest setting, it will NOT fit in a standard sedan trunk.
