Hexagonal. 22" tall, 22" across.
The centre needs removed and replaced - with whatever. Or a plant pot could be placed in it. Sides of the hexagonal hole are 11" approx.
If planning on refinishing, I'd expect you can aim for rustic or shabby-chic, not "fine furniture".
1 of the wood cleats which hold the top is missing. Another is detached, but comes with.
