Request: Sturdy Fabric - inc damaged clothes (Kitchener HomerWatsonBlockLine) Damaged clothing, or leftover scraps. Anything we can get at least some 3"x 3" pieces out of. - Plain fabric. - Non stretch. Sturdy. - Cotton or cotton poly (please NOT 100% poly "feels kinda like plastic") - Think pants fabric - Twill, dark denim, cargos... - heavier quilting type fabric - cloth dinner napkins - Solid colour or very plain. (*Least* interested in: tan or mid to light denim.) Drop off locations: - Kitchener near Homer Watson Block Line - downtown Kitchener near old Charles St Terminal - porch pickup? -> Can arrange if it's near somewhere I'm going, or a larger amount. A young, freelance crafter is screen printing patches on this fabric. Thus, money will be made after turning your (damaged) items into saleable art. If the clothing is *not* damaged, please consider donating to a thrift shop like Thrift on Kent, Retail Therapy, or Uptown Thrift, or offering it here. Thank you for considering. Request: Phone - able to make calls (Kitchener HomerWatsonBlockLine) Expired Seeking devices that are able to make and receive calls. It just needs to function. Doesn't have to be great. If it can't get internet, that doesn't matter. Cracked screen is ok if you can dial, and calls will come in. Holding a charge, but poorly, might be ok. Protective case and charging cords are welcomed if you have them. Multiple devices can be rehomed if you have them . People need to be able to receive a call from support workers about their situation, and not having to play phone tag for days. Be able to set up, and get phone reminders for medical appointments. Or a call about some work available. Please charge and make sure the device still turns on and doesn't crash in under a hour (guess what my old device did) before offering it. Pickup can be arranged Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge.

Request: Tents, tarps, rope, camping gear (Kitchener HomerWatsonBlockLine) Expired Tent, tarp, pegs, rope, hard sized cooler, sleeping bags, blankets, any camping-type gear. Or adult backpacks (doesn't need to be camping backpacks). Tents in unknown condition can be accepted. Random extra parts are also welcome. If there's a tent, we'll pick up whatever other gear you may find alongside it, no need to specify. Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge - porch pickup (drop offs can also be arranged). If you're farther away, including Guelph, we can still potentially arrange pickup. If you have other gear, but not a tent, we're still definitely interested, but an approximate list would be helpful.

Free: Pants/shorts for dirty work (Kitchener) Gifted 3 jeans, 3 shorts - all have 4+ proper size pockets. Have paint or other stains on them. Have been washed. Yes, the one was lovingly patched with a unicorn. Flat measure waist 17-18 1/2" Sizes claim to be around 36" waist. Length around 30" inseam for pants. Shorts are longer mid thigh/above the knee styles. I no longer have a job that destroys clothing, so I'm not going to get to wear these out myself.

Free: Window AC - 8400 btu (Kitchener) Expired Older window AC unit. Requires 22" wide, by 15" high window opening. EER - Energy Efficiency Rating 10.8 8400 btu. Depends who you ask, but should be suitable for the kitchen/living/dining area in a standard apt layout. 780 watts Estimating 60 lb Must be able to carry it out of 3rd floor walk up unit. Or assist me in doing so. Not used in past 2 years. If you measure your window and know the size of board you need to close the gap, I'll include it if I have something suitable. (If you could use assistance paying your electric bill - OESP, Ontario Energy Support Payment was updated last March to cover more family incomes than before. Free: Chair base, or (Kitchener) Expired Separate parts as shown 21" front to back. 20" across with current tubes. Legs have a slight incline (not suitable for a flat surface table, but may work well for a laptop or writing surface) Feet have ball tilt thingy, so they sit flat. Free: Back support for ground seating (Kitchener) Gifted Floor, ground or backless bench? Moulded IKEA chair without the legs, is rather comfy for sitting on the floor or the ground. Very light. Can also be tipped backwards for progressively difficult ab crunches.

Free: Microwave - works (Kitchener) Expired Has Turntable. Door open button sticks sometimes - but it's easy to unstick by pulling from under it. Heats food in expected time. Smaller size. Request: Microphone - must function (Kitchener) Expired Microphone(s) for use during hybrid meetings for a variety of grassroots community groups. Wireless would be ideal, but wired, and USB compatible could still be useful. Maybe you've upgraded to a better quality for recording, but your old one still works? Currently, during meetings, anyone attending online, can't hear people in the room Unless the host repeats, which slows things down, and is unfair in terms of accessibility.
