Bought brand new in the late 1990s as the flashiest on the market, this Janome sewing machine has just been retired and replaced by my wife, who has bought an upgrade. All of the bobbins and feet still work on her new model, which leaves this still working but no longer needed. It comes with a foot pedal, power supply and little screwdriver, which I've managed not to photograph.
As far as we can tell, the only non-functioning part of this machine is the LCD display, which the sewing machine man in Bath said can no longer be bought. This means that any experienced sewing machinist need to consult the menu on the top lid, press the 'Mode' button and then key in the required number. The machine will adjust the setting, only the display won't display it.
This seems to be a classic Freegle item in that we no longer need it but it isn't broken. If you do a lot of sewing, maybe you need a spare, or one to sit alongside your newer machine to crank out straight seams or something?
