Hello everybody,
I am in a bit of a pickle here. I am trying to rescue a scrap VW CT 1600
aircooled engine here, and I have just the engine. No gearbox and no starter
motor. Yesterday I tried to swing it by hand and it kicked back so violently
at me it tried to break my arm.
I am now frightened of it. Does anybody out there have, or know the
whereabouts of, an early 1600 T25, (or Beetle) gearbox and starter motor I
could use to get this engine started, so I can really see what I
have got. The camper van I am hoping to put it in is 150 miles away so I
can't really use that.
