herbs that I can transplant (south sunnyvale)

we're working on an herb garden and so far have mint and oregano, and a rosemary bush. we planted basil, which grew well but the frost got it. the other two survived. so we need herbs that survive repeated frosts. quickie search comes up with: "The list includes sage, common thyme, oregano, chives, chamomile, mints, lavender and tarragon." if you have advice i'd love to hear it. kristiny
