Dahlia tubers (Wallingford)
I dug up and divided my dahlia tubers today. I have grown these red dahlias in bad dirt and lousy locations as well as in good dirt with plenty of sun for more than thirty years. They do better in the good locations, but they bloomed and reproduced in the bad locations also. If you give them good dirt, you'll need to divide them in three or four years; in bad dirt, it will take a little longer.
