Bonavita coffee maker, damaged? (Dupont Circle)

This is a Bonavita Connoisseur 8 cup coffee maker, about 5 years old. We didn’t descale it regularly and it stopped fully brewing the coffee before shutting off. Recently we got descaling powder and descaled it, but now a white residue comes out when we run water through it. Maybe that’s just build-up that will eventually wash out with more cycles and/or more descaling, not sure. If you can troubleshoot, then hopefully this can be useful to you.
