It was purchased from Amazon approx 4 years ago.
It worked nicely for about two years.
Now the steam no longer shoots up through the pipe, so the steam doesn't get distributed very far. However if you run it without the lid, the steam does rise and gets distributed.

I think that the problem is mechanical rather than electrical. Something to do with the pipe. The element that causes the water to percolate seems to be working fine.
