Flower arrangers – ornamental grass (SG17 (Shefford))
Offered but not collected, hence the need for these to go asap while still useable. I needed to do some hand-to-hand combat in my garden, including cutting back the grasses for the winter. Before I do, I wondered whether the feather seed heads pictured would be of any use to someone who arranges flowers? These could be handy, especially if you have tall displays to do - some of these would be 3 to 6 feet tall (though of course could be shortened) - need collecting this weekend

I'm wondering whether anyone has some spare carpet shampoo to use in a hired carpet cleaner on a wool carpet - this is for just one room, about 4 metres by 3 metres, so probably no more than half a litre. If so, I'm happy either to return or freecycle any I don't use. Many thanks for considering this.

Coat and skirt / trouser hangers (SG17 (Shefford))
Bag of plastic / metal hangers - the coathangers are mostly the more substantial shaped ones suitable for jackets and the others, a mixture of plastic / metal are skirt hangers, could be used to hang trousers from the waistband. Would these be useful to you?

I have a used Worcester Bosch CondenseSure tank, no longer needed but it could still help someone. If you have an older combi boiler with a narrow pipe carrying the drips of condensation outside, you may have found that in cold weather, this can freeze and stop your boiler from working. This is a little box that is plumbed in under your boiler, it sits around the hot water pipe. It collects the condensed water as it drips, and discharges the warmed condensate in bigger quantities, so the pipe doesn't freeze. It has no moving parts and and needs no electricity - here's a YouTube clip describing it - you just need to check there's space under the boiler for it, I'm told my new boiler has this included in the boiler so it's no longer needed - but in the past it has saved me a lot of time outside in the cold, up a stepladder with a hairdryer or kettle of hot water. Hopefully it can do the same for someone else. Note that this is to be collected from Shefford.

Worm tea natural fertiliser (SG17 (Shefford))

If you use a wormery to digest kitchen waste, you'll know that the output is compost and 'worm tea'. The liquid can be diluted 1 part to 10 parts water and used as a natural fertiliser. I've been remiss and not used the worm tea as often as I should, so I've a couple of watering cans full of the undiluted tea. Before I pour it down the drain, I thought I'd offer it to anyone who'd like to use this on garden, allotment or house plants - you'll need to bring your own containers. The food waste I used included non-organic fruit and veg (and there were some coffee grounds in there too), so this won't work for you if being 100% organic is important to you, but if this isn't critical, it's still a nutritious mix.

I am replacing drawer runners under a pine bed and the new runners need a base strips of wood in a different place. I need 2 pieces of planed wood, finished size 1" (25mm) x 1 1/4" - 1 1/2" (30mm - 33mm), min length 11" (28cm), max length 17" (44cm) - though I can cut as needed. My local building suppliers don't have anything 25 mm / 1 " thick and that's the critical measurement. I'd be very grateful if someone has a couple of pieces of wood I could use. Thank you.

I have a pair of 16" (c 40cm) top mounted drawer runners. These have been offered twice but not collected. These came from underneath a pine bed and were screwed into the slats to hold a drawer, could also work for something like a keyboard shelf. As far as I can see they are straight and all the ball bearings are in place - I've also got the screws used to fit them. Can anyone find a use for these?

I am wondering whether a fellow freecycler might have some surplus small straight sided ramekins or empty glass dessert jars (the sort that GU desserts or pate came in) (also straight sided on the inside)? I am planning to make some apple cheese and need something to pot it into which lets it slide out when upended. Jam jars tend to have narrower necks and that won't work and I have passed on the glass pots I had. Thanks very much for considering the request.

This 'kit' comprises a switched lamp fitting, the threaded brass ring that connects the unit to the top of a wooden base (min 30mm) with screws included and a 190cm twin core wire. The switch is on the unit that holds a bayonet cap light bulb. This was working fine (the fitting at the top is a few months old, the cable older), I just had it on a tall lamp and wanted a different switch arrangement, so these parts are no longer needed. Can anyone use this?
