Free: Grill Stand (Alnwickhill EH16) Gifted - A grill stand for holding various food things. I've been using it as a cooling rack to cool down cakes when they come out the oven. 8 inches (21cm) in diameter. 2.5 inches (6.5cm) high. Basic but functional.

Free: Industrial Power Delivery Unit (PDU) (Alnwickhill EH16) Expired - An industrial-type power delivery unit (PDU). This PDU, from the late 90s or early 2000s, was used in a data centre to power one rack worth of equipment. It was decommissioned around the time of the pandemic. It provides a total of 10 outputs, two unswitched and two groups of four switchable outputs (which in theory can be controlled over serial, although I've never tried that). Input is from what I'd call a "caravan-style" plug - I'm sure it has a proper name! I've got cables for 7 of the 8 switchable outputs, which have a "kettle-lead" style connector on them. See the pictures for more details of what I have. Happy to take questions, although I may not be able to answer them! Any interest before it is sent to recycling?

Free: Scanner (broken all in one printer) (Alnwickhill EH16) Gifted - HP OfficeJet 4620. The printer part is broken (the heads are clogged and my attempts of self cleaning, or manual cleaning with alcohol would not clear them), but the scanner part works fine. Has the sheet-feed top for the scanner so you can scan multiple pages at once.

Free: Shredder (Alnwickhill EH16) Gifted - An old shredder (I think from Home base originally). It can either detect when you put paper in to it or run continuously. It claims you shouldn't put more bundles of more than 5 documents at a time. Tested it briefly and it seems to work fine.

Free: Electric hand mixer (Alnwickhill EH16) Gifted - An old (1980s I think?) Morphy Richards electric hand mixer. Three speeds, with one set of beaters (I think there may have been another set many years ago for bread making, but they've long disappeared). Still has the original plastic storage stand! I've tested it just now and it seems to work fine. Note that the beaters need to go in a certain order otherwise they just fall out - this confused me at first!

Free: Bag of kettle leads (Alnwickhill EH16) Gifted - A bag of around 20 "kettle lead" cables. A UK plug on one end, a kettle-lead style connector on the others (see pictures). Would give preference to those willing to take a large number (or them all) but am willing to split if necessary.

Free: Broken Apple Wireless Keyboard (Alnwickhill EH16) Gifted - A broken Apple wireless keyboard. I believe the battery leaked and damaged the connections, preventing another battery from working. (It also, I think, made opening to battery compartment much more difficult). If you are handy with a soldering iron then you might be able to repair it.

Free: Atari console accessories (Alnwickhill EH16) Gifted - Some accessories ONLY for an Atari console (no console included!). Going in a clockwise direction in the photo, starting from the top left: joystick, port splitter, power supply, video cable, 2x game pad. I know nothing about the condition of these - I don't have an Atari console and don't know much about gaming! But I am happy to try and answer and questions about these if it helps.

Free: Folding Z Bed (Alnwickhill EH16) Gifted - This is an old ‘Z’ bed, that has not had much use, but is no longer needed. The metal frame and mattress fold out to provide a reasonable temporary single bed. When folded it measures 114cm high, 69cm wide and 24cm deep.

Free: Toy Digger (Alnwickhill EH16) Gifted - I have a toy digger that uses 4 ‘C’ type 1.5volt batteries. Unfortunately, the thread that operates the arm has come off the cog wheel so it doesn’t work. This can be repaired if you have the time and patience, as I did it once before. It can be played with without using the batteries.

Free: VideoNow Color Unit (NOT a DVD player) (Alnwickhill EH16) Expired - A VideoNow Color unit. (At least, I *think* it is a color unit - not 100% sure about that). I picked this up at a jumble sale many years ago, hoping to use it as a portable DVD player. But it uses an entirely non-standard (different size) type of discs, and as such *CANNOT PLAY DVD DISCS*. I think I took it home, realised a regular DVD wouldn't fit (and that it needed it's own type of discs, which I don't have any of), powered it on to see if it worked (it did come on), then put it away in a cupboard. In hindsight, VideoNow seems to have been a very bad format, with very poor video quality and a limited selection of available titles. See the Wikipedia article ( ) or this YouTube video ( ) for more details. I'm not sure why anyone would want this, but decided to offer it here just in case. Only the unit itself is included, no cables (it can run off batteries, but none are included), and no discs. To avoid someone doing what I did, and taking it thinking it is a DVD player, please explicitly acknowledge in your reply that you know it cannot play DVDs. Thanks!

Free: Fax Machine and Copier (Alnwickhill EH16) Gifted - After several no-shows, last chance before this goes to recycling. Samsung SF-350 Inkjet Fax Machine. Powers up fine, and appears to go through the motions when asked to copy a page - but the output page is blank, presumably because it is out of ink. Fax functions haven’t been tested as I no longer have a phone line! It takes M55 Samsung ink, which still seems to be available to buy. The original documentation, shown in the picture, seems to have been misplaced but I will try to look it out if necessary. A power cable is included.

Free: Household Electricity Monitor (Alnwickhill EH16) Gifted - A household electricity monitor, provided by Scottish Gas (although should work with any electricity supplier) around 10 years ago. This is pre Smart Meter, and has largely been made redundant by Smart Meters: you attach it to your electricity meter and it tells you your total household electricity consumption. I think I turned it on once ten years ago, realised I didn't want the hassle of installing it, and packed it away in its box again. Since then it's been unused. Comes with everything that it would have originally come with, including the instruction manual.
