Free: Two framed prints of trams (Alnwickhill EH16) Expired Two framed prints of trams, I am not sure of the location, one of them has "new city road" written on the back but this could be London, Manchester or Glasgow. One is a bit faded (see pictures), the other is better. Dimensions (both the same size): 25cm by 30cm I would prefer they go together.

Free: Old Pentium 4 PC (Alnwickhill EH16) Gifted Old but working Pentium 4 PC. Has a Pentium 4 1.6GHz CPU and 1.5GB RAM. No hard drive (requires an IDE one) but does include a DVD-ROM drive and a floppy drive. Works fine - I was able to boot it off a CD that I had lying around (not included). Just the unit itself, nothing else included, although I am also giving away a VGA monitor (see my other posts) and I can probably find a spare power cable if you need it. Please let me know in your reply.

Free: Old "Watch Phone" (Alnwickhill EH16) Gifted An old watch phone. An early smart watch concept, in that it contains a 2G / 3G phone inside the watch, along with a bunch of basic apps (music player, FM radio, etc.). I was able to get this to switch on a few months ago, but it has been entirely superseded by modern devices so I have no use for it. It is very old - it doesn't run Android, nor does it connect to a smartphone. It is a stand-alone device. Comes with the original box and accessories (see pictures).

Free: 19-inch LCD monitor (inbuilt speakers) (Alnwickhill EH16) Gifted A HP 19-inch LCD monitor. Please note this is VGA only (no HDMI, DVI or displayport). You will therefore need a computer with a VGA connection. The monitor has inbuilt speakers, which are connected through a 3.5mm jack on the monitor. It works fine, although the glossy screen could do with a clean from the dust / fingerprints on it! The resolution is 1440 by 900 pixels, so this is not a FHD or 4K monitor! This is just the monitor itself, however if you need a power cable (standard "kettle lead") or VGA cable, let me know in your reply and I can see if I can find a spare one.

Free: Betamax Video Recorder (needs repair) (Alnwickhill EH16) Gifted A non-functional Sony Betamax Video Recorder, model C5-UB. This has been in storage for a long time. When I tried to use it a few years ago, it accepted a tape and tried to play it, but no picture was displayed. I think (but am not certain) that I could hear a faint audio track from the tape being played. So it will need some work to return it to functional order. Just the unit itself (it's heavy!), nothing else included.

Free: Manual typewriter (boxed with case) (Alnwickhill EH16) Gifted A Silver-Reed portable manual typewriter. Comes with the original box, and the top hard-plastic case for the typewriter (although this has yellowed a lot!). In working condition (see pictures) - to my amazement the ink ribbon still has some life left in it, despite it sitting in a box for a good 10+ years. I'm not sure how long the ribbon would last before it needs replacement.

Free: Scanner (missing power supply) (Alnwickhill EH16) Gifted Epson Perfection V33 document / photo scanner. A compact and lightweight scanner. Unfortunately missing the power supply - it requires a 13.5V one with a center-pin positive. It was given to me a few years ago without the power supply. At the time, I tested it by borrowing a friends power supply and it worked fine. But I never got round to finding a replacement, and it has just been collecting dust. Just the scanner unit itself, nothing else included.

Free: Freeview box (Alnwickhill EH16) Gifted Philips DTR 230 Freeview box. For connecting an older TV without a inbuilt digital Freeview tuner to Freeview. Works fine - I just tested it and it picked up lots of TV channels. It only has a SCART output, however - no HDMI. Therefore this is only really suited to older TVs. Comes with power adaptor and remote (requires 2x AAA batteries, not included). I can also include a SCART cable if required. Any interest before it is sent to recycling?

Free: Old FM Radio (partially broken) (Alnwickhill EH16) Expired I have an mains powered old FM radio unit with a integrated light. The radio seems to work fine and picked up quite a few stations, although you need to push quite firmly on the "scan" button to tune it. (It has no presets, the only way to change the station is to press "scan"). The unit also has an inbuilt light HOWEVER the light is incredibly weak (it is a low voltage incandescent bulb, not an LED). Also the button to operate the light has broken off, exposing the electric circuit board underneath (see pictures). For this reason I would strongly recommend ignoring the light altogether (maybe putting some tape over the broken button). It's an incredibly cheaply built thing, but it does still work. Maybe if you wanted a set for a garage / etc. it would be useful. Mains power, not battery.

Free: Grill Stand (Alnwickhill EH16) Gifted A grill stand for holding various food things. I've been using it as a cooling rack to cool down cakes when they come out the oven. 8 inches (21cm) in diameter. 2.5 inches (6.5cm) high. Basic but functional.

Free: Industrial Power Delivery Unit (PDU) (Alnwickhill EH16) Expired An industrial-type power delivery unit (PDU). This PDU, from the late 90s or early 2000s, was used in a data centre to power one rack worth of equipment. It was decommissioned around the time of the pandemic. It provides a total of 10 outputs, two unswitched and two groups of four switchable outputs (which in theory can be controlled over serial, although I've never tried that). Input is from what I'd call a "caravan-style" plug - I'm sure it has a proper name! I've got cables for 7 of the 8 switchable outputs, which have a "kettle-lead" style connector on them. See the pictures for more details of what I have. Happy to take questions, although I may not be able to answer them! Any interest before it is sent to recycling?

Free: Scanner (broken all in one printer) (Alnwickhill EH16) Gifted HP OfficeJet 4620. The printer part is broken (the heads are clogged and my attempts of self cleaning, or manual cleaning with alcohol would not clear them), but the scanner part works fine. Has the sheet-feed top for the scanner so you can scan multiple pages at once.

Free: Shredder (Alnwickhill EH16) Gifted An old shredder (I think from Home base originally). It can either detect when you put paper in to it or run continuously. It claims you shouldn't put more bundles of more than 5 documents at a time. Tested it briefly and it seems to work fine.

Free: Electric hand mixer (Alnwickhill EH16) Gifted An old (1980s I think?) Morphy Richards electric hand mixer. Three speeds, with one set of beaters (I think there may have been another set many years ago for bread making, but they've long disappeared). Still has the original plastic storage stand! I've tested it just now and it seems to work fine. Note that the beaters need to go in a certain order otherwise they just fall out - this confused me at first!

Free: Bag of kettle leads (Alnwickhill EH16) Gifted A bag of around 20 "kettle lead" cables. A UK plug on one end, a kettle-lead style connector on the others (see pictures). Would give preference to those willing to take a large number (or them all) but am willing to split if necessary.

Free: Broken Apple Wireless Keyboard (Alnwickhill EH16) Gifted A broken Apple wireless keyboard. I believe the battery leaked and damaged the connections, preventing another battery from working. (It also, I think, made opening to battery compartment much more difficult). If you are handy with a soldering iron then you might be able to repair it.

Free: Atari console accessories (Alnwickhill EH16) Gifted Some accessories ONLY for an Atari console (no console included!). Going in a clockwise direction in the photo, starting from the top left: joystick, port splitter, power supply, video cable, 2x game pad. I know nothing about the condition of these - I don't have an Atari console and don't know much about gaming! But I am happy to try and answer and questions about these if it helps.

Free: Folding Z Bed (Alnwickhill EH16) Gifted This is an old ‘Z’ bed, that has not had much use, but is no longer needed. The metal frame and mattress fold out to provide a reasonable temporary single bed. When folded it measures 114cm high, 69cm wide and 24cm deep.
