Request: Disposable earpiece covers—used OK (West San Jose) - I only need a set or two of these headset covers to use on my ears. My wireless earbuds are always falling out, and this would help me to not lose them! The covers aren’t expensive, but they only come in packs of 100, way more than I need! Maybe you have some used ones that get thrown away at work? I would not mind washing them. I could use as many as 5 pair, but one pair would be great! (The ones I’m looking for would be the smaller on-ear headphone size, not the large ones made for over-the-ear headphones.) Thank you 😊

Free: (8) insulated shippers 9x11x11 (Stevens Creek/Saratoga Ave, SJ) Withdrawn - Cardboard boxes fitted with insulating material to keep contents cool and cushioned during shipping. The insulation is recycled biodegradable mixed fiber inside a plastic film covering. Used, but in good condition. You’re welcome to take just the boxes or just the insulating wraps, which could also be used inside a poly (plastic film) mailer. I also have plenty of gel ice packs to go with them if you want. Take as many or few of each as you need.

Free: Xmas string lights+bulbs (not LED) (Stevens Creek x Saratoga Ave) Gifted - A dozen or so used multi-color incandescent (not LED) 100-light strings. They’re crammed back into boxes (not necessarily the correct box) but they’re not new. Most seem to be working, but a few individual bulbs have gone out. These are “stay-lit” strings that keep working if a bulb goes out, and you could swap in working bulbs from the other strings if you want. These pre-LED-era lights aren’t energy efficient, but they have a uniquely beautiful light and colors that LEDs so far don’t perfectly replicate. There are also several special “twinkle” bulbs that you can add to make the light string blink on and off.

Free: Gel ice packs (West San Jose) Expired - I think they’ve started multiplying. Please take some or all. (They’re so expensive to buy new!) Most are in perfect, like-new condition. I also have several cardboard shippers (cartons) with insulating/cushioning liners available. (See my other post).

Free: Fancy used gift/chocolates boxes (Stevens Creek x Saratoga Ave) Expired - All are cardboard except for the metal David’s Cookies tin. The chocolate boxes may have some slight chocolate smudges inside. The fruit boxes (white with red lids) are totally clean and look brand new. (Photo isn’t up to date so it may be plus or minus a few items. If there’s something specific in it that you want, feel free to ask if it’s still there. I’ll try to update the photo soon.)

Request: Floral wreath faded/dirty OK (Stevens Creek/Saratoga Ave, SJ) Expired - With artificial flowers, for a craft project. I don’t have the patience to make a wreath, and I’m going to be spray painting it anyway. Thank you 🧙‍♀️ 🎃 🎄 Free: Starbucks Rewards codes (Stevens Creek/Saratoga Ave, SJ) Expired - Update: I’m getting a lot of responses so I’m not going to be able to reply to everyone who inquires, unfortunately. I’ll message you if I pick you :) Update #2: Assuming these codes count as one “star” each when you redeem them, 60 codes is not even enough to buy one coffee drink. Maybe there are some promotions where you can double your stars or something. I was promised they don’t expire, but they seem to be worth a lot less than when I started collecting them in like 2015. Offer: About 60 unredeemed Starbucks Rewards codes. I didn’t want to put them in one by one on the website, but they told me I could email them a list of all the codes instead. But apparently I’m too lazy to do even that, so maybe you can use them. Fair Offer policy - I’ll wait until this weekend to choose a recipient. Easy contactless pickup.

Free: Huge area rug 12x9, worth cleaning (Stevens Creek/Saratoga Ave, SJ) Gifted - I was gifted this pretty and very large rug on Nextdoor, but when I got it home, I realized it needs a better cleaning than just a vacuum, and it’s more of a project than I can deal with right now. The design isn’t fading or wear, it’s just imitation antiquing. It’s some kind of synthetic, not wool. It looks like one sold at Costco 4 or 5 years ago. The carpet doesn’t have any weird odor; it looks like it just has a lot of dirt tracked on it. Full disclosure, I didn’t unroll it all the way to inspect it. If you have (or can borrow) a home carpet cleaning machine like a Bissel that sprays and extracts cleaning fluid, I think that would be all it needed. Ammonia is great for that because it cleans so well and evaporates completely leaving no residue or odor. It has some pulls on the back that look like a cat did it, but I don’t think they are noticeable on the front side. If you’re not too far, at my discretion, I may be able to even drop it off for you, but if you want to see it before you decide, you should come here instead. I’m near Stevens Creek and Saratoga Ave. Please email me with a mobile number for a quicker response.

Request: Any kind of small, fun stickers (Stevens Creek/Saratoga Ave, SJ) Expired - [Thanks to the kind individuals who gave, brought, and sent me stickers! I have a nice stash now, but still appreciative of new ones, not for the quantity so much, but for the variety.] I like to put small, random stickers on my outgoing mail to spread a little happiness or playful confusion out in the world. I’m pretty much housebound, so if you have just one or two you don’t have a use for, I’d be so grateful if you’d be willing to mail them to me. If you have a bunch, and you’re nearby, I could arrange to have them picked up. Almost any kind of stickers will do, as long as they are family-friendly. Even logo stickers used to mark fresh fruit or vegetables are interesting or cute sometimes. Address labels with an interesting image I can cut from it work too, and stickers with boring things on them like numbers or letters, can be stuck in interesting arrangements. Ink stamps would be welcome too. Free: Sturdy cardboard trays (again) (Stevens Creek/Saratoga Ave, SJ) Expired - 6+ large, about 10.75 x 14” 6+ small, about 8.5 x 11” These are the protective trays that cases of pet food come packed in, like shallow boxes but without lids. The large trays are great for sorting and organizing papers. The small ones are just slightly too narrow for 8.5”x11” papers to lay completely flat in, so not ideal for storing papers, but they are still good for sorting, and as makeshift pull-out drawers in 12”-depth cabinets (not pretty, but very functional!)

(Remember, if you’re splitting pills, always use the pieces from the same pill consecutively to keep your average dosing consistent!) Free: Louvered bifold doors—for outside? (Stevens Creek x Saratoga, SJ) Gifted - I got these new, prefinished doors free off Craigslist knowing they had some dirt on them, but didn’t realize until I got them home that they needed to be cleaned of some mildew or possibly mold, mostly near the bottom. They were still in the package, but had been left outside for long enough to become damp. They’ve been out in the sun for a few days and are dry now. I think it’s superficial, and could probably clean up well with the right cleaners. In earlier days, I would have rolled up my sleeves, grabbed the ammonia, a stiff brush, and a mask, and gotten to work, but I’m unable to spare the energy now due to chronic illness. They look less bad in person. The photo is showing where the worst of it is, near the bottom. There are two panels, each 18” x 80”. All of the original hardware is present and still in the packaging. I want to give someone a chance to take the whole thing, but I’m open to just giving away the hardware if no one wants the doors.

Free: Canned cat food, not expired (Stevens Creek x Saratoga, SJ) Gifted - A few dozen cans of cat food that was rejected by my cats. Nothing seems wrong with them to me, except that they were from newly opened cases that suddenly my cats didn’t like. Maybe you’ll have better luck. There’s half a dozen each of Chicken and Turkey paté varieties of Tiny Tiger (Chewy’s private label), a dozen Friskies Indoor Chicken paté, and a case and a half of Turkey paté variety of Wonderbound (Amazon’s private label).

Free: Used CPAP hoses (Stevens Creek x Saratoga, SJ) Expired - A few used CPAP hoses, 2 meters (6 feet) long. I can’t get to them at this moment, but there’s at least 3, maybe 4, probably not 5. They can’t be donated for to medical charity because they’re used, but they’re still in great shape, no cracks, no leaks. Maybe they’re still useful for something.

The insulation is recycled mixed fibers inside a plastic film covering. I’m offering: Three of 9 x 11 x 11 inches -and- One of 9 x 11 x 17 inches I also have: One styrofoam cooler from Omaha Frozen Steaks that was once the insulated part of an insulated shipper. I don’t think I have the outer cardboard shipper for it anymore, but if you need it, I’ll look for it. I can also measure it for you if you want. I guess it’s around 20x16x16 inches outside, and around 1.5 cubic feet inside. And I have around 20 gel ice packs to go with them. Take as many or few of each as you need.
