Flapper with float (Rockville)
Expired
18d
- This toilet flapper was in a tank that emptied and was unused for a while, and so it kind of dried out, shrank and hardened a bit, and then it didn't quite seal the hole at the bottom of the tank anymore, so I replaced it with a new one. Maybe it would fit a slightly smaller tank opening? Otherwise, it is intact. The diameter on the top is just shy of 2.5 inches. It's a lovely shade of dark teal. And the float still ... floats.

Headphones (Rockville)
Expired

- They work but have two issues. First, the foam on the earpieces is worn. Second, the adjustable headband is also worn, and it wants to keep expanding larger than is needed to fit on your head. Otherwise, they're good, lightweight headphones, and the cord is plenty long. The audio jack is the smaller kind that works with many smaller devices. The model is Panasonic RP-HT21.

Phone charger (USB Micro C) (Rockville)

- New charging block and cable. I believe it is a USB Micro C connection; it has the somewhat irregular shape. It was for a Motorola phone. The cable is quite short; it looks to be only a few inches in length. It doesn't fit my current phone, so I can't be certain that it works.

Half of a hose (Rockville)
Expired
150d
- Does anyone have a use for half of a garden hose? Some animal chewed it in half and there are some additional punctures in it as well. There's about 35 feet in length remaining, and the male end of the hose is still intact. It was a fairly lightweight and flexible hose, but unfortunately, I never got to use it.

Broken bird feeder (Rockville)
Expired
179d
- This thing has a spring-loaded mechanism that lets the inner core move inside the outer shell, and this part all seems to be intact. I am not sure exactly how it's supposed to work. However, there's a bottom piece that is supposed to fit on to the main structure, but it's so rusted that it doesn't stay connected anymore, so it seems like there's no way to keep bird seed in the feeder. If anyone wants to tinker with it or has another use for it ...

Basic desk (Rockville)
Expired
179d
- It's made from solid wood. It has 5 drawers, and they all work and none of them are sticking. However, the top drawer has a big chip in the front (see picture). It's painted dark blue and has a lot of marks and smaller chips, but you could paint it any color that you like. It's been in my garage so it's also a bit dusty.

Twin bed frame (IKEA) (Rockville)
Expired
179d
- It could use a cleaning and/or painting. Originally the slats were connected by two pieces of strapping, which kept the slats from shifting out of position, but that's gone now, so I added some extra slats from another bed frame so that the slats won't move around.

Umbrella (Rockville)
Expired
251d
- This was a very good umbrella, but a small piece of it got dislodged, so now it has issues. I have the small, metal tab that came out, but I haven't been able to figure out how to fit it properly back in to the umbrella. If the tab is simply inserted into the shaft, it will hold the two shaft sections together, but then the umbrella cannot be closed. If I remove the tab, then the umbrella can be closed, but then there is nothing to hold to two shaft sections together. Consequently, the next time that you open the umbrella, the top section will go flying off, which will be both startling and potentially dangerous. However, if you have a use for an umbrella that can be left open all the time, this one could work for you. Also, there is one tip where the canopy keeps coming off, leaving the tip exposed, which can be a safety issue. If you are interested in this umbrella, please tell me why. :-)
