###
FAQs

##### How is the parking?

There should be plenty of parking at the community center.

##### How many items can I bring to the event?

Please bring ONE ITEM that needs simple textile mending. We will do our best to solve the problem, but not every case is successful. Additional items brought in will be listed as walk-ins and serviced on a case-by-case basis.

##### Can I come to watch or shadow a volunteer?

Of course, our goal is to empower everyone to learn how to repair their items. If you have a sewing machine that you would like to learn to use, please bring it along with a project, and we can help you get set up.

##### How can I get up-to-date information?

Simply go to https://events.humanitix.com/host/sdfixitclinic and follow us. You will be the first to know every time we add a new event.

##### Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Please contact[sdfixitclinic@gmail.com] for any questions

##### How can I volunteer at the San Diego Fixit Clinics?

If you want to volunteer with us, please follow the link below to complete an application form. [Click here for the application](https://forms.gle/phxeZpPTd8pYSyoN7). If you are undecided about committing to volunteer but want to give it a test drive, register for the "Volunteer for the Day" option on our form. That way, you can shadow a volunteer and see if you are a good fit. Warning: once you try it, you won't want to stop. :)

##### I registered, and now I am not sure I can attend. What should I do?

If you're unsure whether you will attend, please cancel your registration at least THREE days before the event to allow others to reserve a spot. Or email us at[sdfixitclinic@gmail.com] and let us know.

> **Too many no-shows attached to your email address will result in no more allowances to pre-register, and you must attend as a walk-in.**

> Please note: no-shows can cause a severe issue when planning future programs regarding venues, volunteers, and location. We know this is a free event, but please give us the common courtesy and let us know if you cannot attend.

##### Does this cost money?

This event is free to attend, but it is not a drop-off or fix event. Instead, it is a hands-on event where participants can learn how to repair their items with the help of our expert coaches. Donations are always appreciated.

##### What if my item needs a replacement part?

As this is a free event, we do not provide replacement parts. You will be responsible for any costs incurred if your item requires additional or replacement parts. We may have some spare parts on hand, but it is the attendee's responsibility to purchase and bring the necessary parts on the day of the event.

In other words, this is a free event, so you are responsible for your equipment and any repairs that may be needed. We may have spare parts, but you must bring them if required.

##### Will you accept walk-ins?

We will accept walk-ins if there is time, but it depends on how quickly we can repair the items of the registered attendees.
