Give your garments a new life by learning to darn on Saturday, May 30 from 10am-12:30pm at Leaven Community Center!
In this hands-on class, instructor Sivia will teach several darning methods to repair holes and reinforce weakened material in socks, sweaters, and other knitwear. These methods are also usable for other fabric repair but we will demonstrate and work on knitted fabric in class.
Mending is something we can all do; saving clothes from the landfill and healing our hearts in the process. Mending is a meditative, slow process that improves with practice, and it's a darn good time!
