The Chiswick Repair Cafe is an award-winning voluntary initiative to help reduce waste, share repair skills and strengthen the local community.
People bring their broken or worn items to the Repair Cafe and our volunteer repairers help them to mend their things, teach repair skills, or give advice on what can be done. Visitors pay for any necessary parts and are asked to make a donation to the Repair Cafe running costs.
These are the items we can generally repair:
* Small electrical and electronic repairs
* Carpentry repairs (e.g. gluing chairs)
* Toy repairs
* Computers & laptops (not mobile phones)
* Knife & tool sharpening
* Sewing repairs: mending /darning
* Ceramics
* Jewelry
* Small bike repairs

The Chiswick Repair Cafe was launched in October 2022 by four Chiswick residents with an interest in the environment. We are now an award-winning repair cafe!
How does it work?
It is a voluntary initiative to help reduce waste, share repair skills and strengthen the local community. We hope you will come along and visit us soon. In the meantime, our site has some useful information for visitors, but please drop us a line if you would like to get in touch.
We have teams covering electrics, electronics, sewing, woodwork, toy fixing, knife sharpening, jewellery repair, ceramics and bikes.
People bring their broken or worn items to the Repair Cafe and our volunteer repairers help them to mend their things, teach repair skills, or give advice on what can be done. Visitors pay for any necessary parts and are asked to make a donation to the Repair Cafe running costs.
Coffees, teas and refreshments are available in the cafe area.
The Chiswick Repair Cafe happens once a month (with some exceptions for holidays), on Saturdays at Christ Church Turnham Green, 10:30am – 1pm
