Does anyone have a spare flatscreen television of any size and standard that you would be willing to donate to a good new home?
I have been helping a few homeless people in MK over the past 4-5 years in whatever small ways I’ve been able to. Mainly providing decent hard-wearing clothes, boots, etc during winter, but also with some basic household items for a couple of folks that have been lucky enough to be housed but have struggled to fit out their new home with the essentials we all enjoy.
Currently I am helping a very kind gentleman that suffered on and off with street homelessness over the last decade but was housed around 5-6 weeks ago.
He managed to get access to a local grant to get a fridge/freezer, a mattress for the bed, and a (very) basic sofa for his place. But he is missing a television and it feels quite depressing there without anything to watch or listen to.
If anyone can offer a TV of any kind it would be really welcome. I can collect from anywhere in Milton Keynes and will meet whatever day/time suits you.
