Looking for a power supply from a PC desktop to power a custom light project. The power supply unit is usually a grey metal case with a mains input and switch, a fan, and the output cable to attach to the computer's motherboard and peripherals, outputting 5V and 12V. I am prepared to take an otherwise unwanted desktop computer and extract the power supply from it it if necessary.
(This is not the same as a laptop power supply, which has a different design optimized for charging batteries.)
