I have discovered that a great way to keep woodlice from sheltering under my plant pots (and eating the decking) is to raise the pots slightly on metal trivets. They are actually designed to prevent kitchen worktops becoming scorched by hot dishes, but tend to get shoved in a corner cupboard after a while. If your trivets are cherished like the one in the photo, or are still needed for their intended purpose, or you can't bear the thought of them being plunked outside to gently rust under my geraniums, then this ad is not for you! If, however, you have an ugly one, or one that has seen better days, or one in a corner of your garage that was an unwanted gift but deserves some fresh air, please get in touch - I would be very grateful to rehome it.
I have no idea if I will get any responses, but if so, I will wait in hopes there are sufficient to warrant a trip out, so please bear with me.
Many thanks for reading!
