These lithium ion batteries are 3.7 volts, have a protruding bump at the positive end (not all lithium ion batteries have such a bump), and can be recharged with a lithium ion battery recharger (as opposed to a charger for 1.2 volt NiMH batteries). In case you can't remember, a 14500 battery is physically the same size as a AA battery, and a 10440 battery is physically the same size as a AAA battery.
