Free: Two 3-way E27 light bulb adapters (Caversham RG4) I bought two of these adapters, but ever got round to using them, so it is time to pass them on. Max 20 watt light bulb in each socket (so these adapters are suitable for LED bulbs, but not for incandescent bulbs). Note that these adapters are for use with E27 (screw-in) bulbs; they are not for the bayonet-fitting bulbs. I am available most days (mornings, afternoons, evenings) for collection. Free: Alarm clock (uses 3 AAA batteries) (Caversham RG4) Promised Size: 13.5cm wide, 7.5cm high, 5cm deep. It runs fine on either alkaline or rechargeable (NiMH) batteries. Buttons for setting the date/time/alarm are on the back. There is also a switch at the back to enable/disable the backlight. If enabled, then the backlight will come on automatically in low-light conditions (evening & night). The ONLY drawback of this model is that the backlight is very bright: bright enough to act as a night light for a bedroom. I sellotaped some tinted sheets of plastic over the display to dim down the brightness of the backlight. I estimate that a set of batteries will last about 4 or 5 months with the backlight on. If you want, I can give you 3 alkaline AAA batteries to get you started. I am available most days (mornings, afternoons, evenings) for collection. Free: Peaky Blinders DVD box set (Caversham RG4) This is the compete (seasons 1 to 6) box set of the TV series. I experienced occasional visual glitches when watching some of the DVDs. I don't know if this was due to the DVDs being defective, or possibly having some ultra-fine dust on them. The latter is a possibility because I had the DVDs with me when travelling in a desert area of Egypt. If you have a DVD cleaning kit, then I recommend using it on the DVDs prior to watching them. Free: 5 one-to-many USB adapter cables (power only) (Caversham RG4) Promised If you recharge several devices with USB cables, but each device has a different kind of USB socket (USB C, micro USB, and so on), then this adapter cable might be of use to you. I bought lots of these from AliExpress, and have 10 that are surplus to requirements. I am offering them as two sets of 5 cables. Free: Rechargeable lithium ion batteries: four 14500 & four 10440 (Caversham RG4) Gifted These lithium ion batteries are 3.7 volts, have a protruding bump at the positive end (not all lithium ion batteries have such a bump), and can be recharged with a lithium ion battery recharger (as opposed to a charger for 1.2 volt NiMH batteries). In case you can't remember, a 14500 battery is physically the same size as a AA battery, and a 10440 battery is physically the same size as a AAA battery. I can arrange to be available for collection from 8am to 11pm today (Thursday) and tomorrow (Friday). After that, collection any day between 9am and 8pm. Free: Nokia 110 4G mobile phone (not a smartphone) (Caversham RG4) Gifted This phone is in very good condition. As far as I know, its battery is too. It can take 2 SIM cards and it works with both 2G and 4G networks (I don't know if it is compatible with 3G). The phone is "unlocked", so you can use it with any network. It is supplied with its box, "Quick Guide" instructions and plug-in charger (but you can use a micro-USB cable if you prefer). Free: office chair with wheels (stuck on lowest height) (Caversham RG4) Expired This is an office-style chair with wheels, and it used to have an adjustable height mechanism, but that mechanism is broken and it is stuck on the lowest setting, so the seat is only about 39cm from the ground. This is uncomfortably low for an adult, but it might work well for a child. The fabric on the seat is a bit threadbare, but there is seat cover that makes it look more presentable. My schedule is mostly flexible this week, so I can probably accommodate a collection anytime from 8am to 11pm between now and Friday. Request: Dog carrier bicycle trailer (for a medium/large dog) (Caversham RG4) Expired Hi. We cycle a lot and don't have a car. We are getting a mixed-breed (and partly German Shepherd) 6-month-old dog, which I assume will grow a lot. If anybody has a bicycle trailer for carrying medium/large dogs that they want to get rid of, we will be able to make good use of it. My schedule is pretty flexible, so I will probably be able to collect at your convenience, morning, afternoon or evening any day.

Free: 4 metal chair legs (71cm tall each) (Caversham RG4) Gifted Originally these had a nice chrome effect, but they are a bit discoloured now, so they are more suitable for a table in a workshop than in a house. Each leg is 71cm tall, but the black disk at the foot can be unscrewed for levelling to provide up to another 1cm of height. Free: Small fridge (really small) (Caversham RG4) Gifted This is far too small to be used as a primary fridge. It could be used for chilling cans of beer/coke, or keeping medication chilled. The dimensions are: 49cm high, 47cm wide, 45cm deep. Free: Standing Desk Converter (Caversham RG4) Gifted Look at the Amazon product page for full details: The intention of this device is to raise the height of (part of) a normal-height desk to be high enough to use as a standing desk. I used this for a few weeks and then decided to buy an actual standing desk, so I no longer need this. It is in excellent condition. It weighs about 15KG so you will need a car to transport it. Free: Distraction-free writing tool (Pomera DM100) (Caversham RG4) Gifted This is a very niche product. It is a dual language (Japanese and English) device that is a dedicated text editor. It runs off two AA batteries (I'm supplying two alkaline batteries to get you started, but rechargeable batteries work fine too). A pair of batteries will last dozens of hours of use. Files can be saved to an SD card (provided), and can be transferred to a computer via the SD card or a USB cable (provided). Drawbacks: (1) the device recognises only files with a ".txt" extension (so it is no good for editing, say, ".xml", ".cfg" or ".java" files); (2) the keyboard layout is not quite UK standard for punctuation symbols, and is not quite full size; (3) a backslash symbol is always displayed as a Japanese yen symbol (¥). Since this device is intended for distraction-free writing, it does not have any games or internet access, and it is not possible to install any other applications. If you are unsure whether this device will be suitable for your needs, I suggest doing a Google or YouTube search to find more details of it. Free: DIY tools: saw, stubby & precision screwdrivers, stud finder (Caversham RG4) Gifted All these tools are in either excellent or "as new" condition. The stud finder comes with a 9v battery and instruction leaflet. The stubby screwdriver has a ratcheting mechanism; the orange blob in the photo is a (de)magnetiser tool; and the multiple notches in the shafts of the screwdriver bits enable you to push a shaft into the handle by various amounts, so the stubby screwdriver can have a long/medium/short/very short shaft. Free: Computer keyboards: two wireless (USB dongles), 1 wired USB (Caversham RG4) Gifted Three computer keyboards. All were working the last time I checked. The top-left one in the photo is a keyboard and separate mouse, both of which are controlled via a small USB dongle (supplied) plugged into a computer. You will need 2 AA batteries (one each for keyboard and mouse). The top-right keyboard has a built-in trackpad. You will need 2 AA batteries for this, and the USB dongle is supplied. The bottom keyboard is a wired USB one, and does not come with a mouse. All three keyboards go as one package. If you want only a subset of them, then you can re-Freegle the rest.
