It doesn’t matter what condition these are in, they could even be those thin cotton inner cushion covers.
I’ve been kindly donated some cushion inners, and was going to (attempt to) sew them together to make something soft to go under a duvet for our huge new rescue hound but they’ve got those holey polypropylene covers, which I didn’t think about.
If I put these inners inside something though, it will be much easier I think. Greyhounds deserve a big soft pile of loveliness to lie on after the life they’ve had, if you’re wondering why I’m piling up layers of bedding. He also quite likes a ‘bumper’ of cushions to keep him away from awful things like cold, hard walls.
He’s already got large bare areas on his thighs and many old scars on his legs from his old kennel conditions, so I want to keep him well away from the floor now (yes he has the sofa too, but still requires a choice of 17 other beds in every room he may wish to visit), which requires many duvets, throws, cushions you name it.
Imagine the Princess and the Pea, but with a Shetland pony-sized dog on top. That’s what Ace wants, so any help gratefully accepted!
Also, I travel to North Walsham every fortnight so can collect from that area and along the route from Sheringham too.
