Broken lampshade (Fords Farm RG31)

Plastic lampshade. 5ins wide at top and 10 ins wide at bottom. Bulb holder can be positioned for use as a table lamp or a ceiling lamp. Lampshade itself is undamaged but the bulb holder has sheared off one side (see pic 2). I tried to repair it using a) araldite b) duct tape c) solder but none would hold! Destined for landfill unless someone with access to a welder wants to try to repair it?
