Rope needed for a stage production currently in rehearsal. It must be over 10 feet long, about ½–¾inch diameter (um ...15–20mm?), and preferably very old and tatty looking. The sort of ancient worn-out rope your grandparents should probably bin! This play is set in 'old times' (think: sailing ships, etc) so the rope absolutely has to be made of a twisted natural fibre (eg hemp, jute, etc), and natural-coloured - eg brown. Dirty is actually ideal! (As long as it isn't from oil.) A 'modern' nylon/plastic/etc rope would look so wrong. Please can you help? I'm willing to collect.

Old fashioned hemp rope (Frogmore GU17)
