The battery was still able to start the car just prior to it being removed. It was replaced as a precaution prior because its age was unknown.
It has been out of a car for a little under three years but has been indoors at normal room temperatures ever since, and has been on trickle charge at about 13.4 volts for almost that entire time. When disconnected from the charger and providing power to a tiny electric motor the terminal voltage is initially about 12.5 volts.
I wouldn't recommend it for use in a car that somebody is depending on, but it is probably still good for various kinds of experiments.
Collection will be from Longsight, M12, not far from Crowcroft Park.
