I live to far away to cycle into Edinburgh and can’t put my bike on the bus & peddle on. I had no option but to get a 2nd hand car, put the bike in the boot, park up on the outskirts & peddle on. I’m wrecking my bike, car and back and miss cycling so much. I’m not looking forward to winter struggling with a heavy steel bike in the rain. I am hoping there’s a bike lying unused in a shed that can get a 2nd life. It would be wonderful as I’ll get 3 options - bike on bus/peddle home one way during daylight/bike in car for nights when no bus service without wrecking everything. It’s an big ask I know, but I also know lots of good old bikes untouched for years.
