I'd guess at at least 15 years old and does work but there's two issues...
1) The power button is inconsistent and doesn't always power on.
2) Without a load on the chisel, the drive still wants to spin the bit... I'd guess either of the two switches that select the hammer/drill/hammer/drill only options, are broken.
Once hammering, it tends to hold its position.
I'd guess it's about 4kg so quite a heavy unit... and historically a very useful tool... makes very easy work of e.g. drilling into concrete lintels for curtain rails, whereas the 'b&d' hand drill would struggle.
