Crocosmia has gracefully arching stems that bear a multitude of tubular orange florets that mature to an intense red and form an attractive sword-shaped foliage.

I recommend growing it in containers as it has a tendency to spread and can become invasive.

Hummingbirds love crocosmia.
If you want to stop the plant from spreading, simply pick the seed stalks before they disperse their seeds after they bloom.
