Free: New Zealand Flax (Near Prospect High School) I’m sharing a few Bare root cuttings. New Zealand Flax (Phormium tenax) is an evergreen perennial plant native to New Zealand is a large ornamental evergreen plant. The plant grows as a clump of long, strap-like leaves, up to 7 feet long, from which arises a much taller flowering shoot, with dramatic yellow or red flowers. NOTE: This plant needs a large space. My 35 year old mature plant is about 7’X7’! It likes full or partial sun and soil with good drainage. Drought resistant once established.

Free: Crocosmia Bulbs (Near Prospect High School) These beautiful flowering plants are actually corms. The plant is hardy, preferring a sunny location with well-draining soil. I must emphasize that this will spread if not planted in pots and in the ground can become invasive if not managed. I planted mine in the ground along a fence over 20 years ago and my dozen or so corms now number in the hundreds. Here’s a link to more info on growing crocosmia:

Free: Dog Door for Sliding Glass Door (Near Prospect High School) Expired We got this from another Trash Nothing user but our dog will have nothing to do with it. Years ago I had one for our cat and she loved it. It’s not in perfect condition but you are welcome to it.

Free: Pair of Pink Chairs (Near Prospect High School) Gifted These are lovely low backed living room chairs. Unfortunately, during the move, they were damaged on the underside. One is particularly bad. The springs will need to be unbent and should be reattached but I don’t have the bandwidth for that right now.

I won these at an auction this year but they must be redeemed by Sept 7th of this year. Since I cannot go, I’m offering them up to someone who can use them. Retail value: $140.

Free: Crocosmia Bulbs (Near Prospect High School) Gifted Crocosmia has gracefully arching stems that bear a multitude of tubular orange florets that mature to an intense red and form an attractive sword-shaped foliage. I recommend growing it in containers as it has a tendency to spread and can become invasive. Hummingbirds love crocosmia. If you want to stop the plant from spreading, simply pick the seed stalks before they disperse their seeds after they bloom. See link for growing details.
