This lamp annoys me! It is very heavy and so never seems to stand straight. Consequently, I am disinclined to fix the misalignment on its connection. The bulb does not connect with the pads and by twisting it, you move the switch out of alignment. I would have thought it can be fixed, but I’ve not properly tried.
The shade has been recovered so you may need a new one if it’s not to your taste.
